BWitcher
so, coookie scores for the lions v wolves meeting and puts his owm team BELLE VUE on the bottom of the lite league. what a farce.you couldnt make it up. Are you new to speedway or something? Yep pride restored after dominating a meeting, 11 points up and losing by 2 - at the bottom side. They must be ecstatic with pride. You're being far too harsh this time. Riding under strength and suffering some unfortunate machinery issues, lost in the final heat.. and only by virtue of the extra 3 pts Leicester got from the tac. Most thought we'd take a beating tonight. PK showed there is still life in him which is the main positive.

Come on Steve.....I hate to see us in the position that we are but to say the lads aren't trying and have no pride is totally unfair. You should know that any team who are fighting at the bottom can beat any body if the try hard enough and unfortunetly for us tonight Leicester wanted it more than us.Woffy is a disgrace,PK is and always will be god,the rest of the lads battled and Bomber had a bad night.i think they have restored a bit of pride at least. I agree i didn't think we had the fight to get anything from this meeting. So i am `totally wrong` to say we have no pride but its OK to call Woffy a disgrace because he scored to his average! If the performance gives the lads the belief they can finish the season with pride then fair enough. Jury out for me. magnificentseven
The World Chumpion falls short again. Another defeat snatched from the jaws of victory all the more frustrating for being turned over by Klindt. This is a very poor Wolves team who don't have any fight when the chips are down. I hope Woffinden decides to give Britain a miss next year as I am really fed up - trying to keep the post clean - of seeing him just go through the motions for Wolves - it is clear he has no interest in the EL. I really like Pawlicki and think he has done really well for us but the fact is he misses too many meetings - by the end of the season we will have ridden four away meetings on Saturdays and he will have missed them all. The manner of the last two defeats against Poole and Leicester has been very poor - roll on the end of the season. Wolfie

The Observer
Leicester were somewhat fortunate IMO. Fantastic tactical ride by Doyle to bring the Lions within 4, but Harris offered very little & Woffy suffered with some bad luck. Had Pawlicki rode then all points would have gone to the Wolves. I find it disappointing that some posters are referring to Woofy as a disgrace, the guy looks absolutely drained and given his schedule, PR work as WC and charity commitments it's hardly surprising.

Woffinden is employed by Wolverhampton Speedway to ride in the EL. He is only drained because he is taking too much work on outside speedway, and that is having an effect on his riding for Wolves. Woffinden should look at reducing his commitments outside speedway and concentrate on what he is being paid to do for Wolves. For that reason I think it totally reasonable that his performances for Wolves are being called into question. Wolfie

Form and current statistic tell a different story. Leicester WERE bottom of the EL table before tonight's meeting, despite what the statistics say. Wolves have been nowhere near the bottom of the league table - yet. If we fall to the bottom (as statistics suggest) then you might have a point. As it stands Leicester WERE bottom last night and now Belle Vue ARE.
The Observer
Don't disagree Wolfie whatsoever with your comments and yes his performances, like with any other rider, should be called into question when delivering perceived under par performances. But to call the guy a "disgrace", I feel, is unfair. Edited August 9, 2014 by The Observer

weatherwatcher
Over the last few weeks he has let hinself go, putting on weight. He has not got his heart in riding, he has got to much on his mind. All the other top riders are in the same boat. I am sure that there is no need for them to be riding at three or more different clubs and then having World Cup, European Chamionships and GP's as well. Some of the other riders are riding in far more meeting than Tai. and they carry on week after week, year in with no complaints So what is the difference have they got more love of the sport than Tai, because the way he is going he will be a spent force before a couple of years time. I think it is more a mental block that he is going through at the moment, he won the GP's last year and he has run around doing interviews left right and centre, plus all the charity work he is doing. Don;t get me wrong what he is doing for Great Ormand Street he should be proud of what he is doing. But not when it affects the job that you are being paid for, That is being a speedway rider full stop. and people fork out hard earned cash to go along to see him.
Gemini
As a sort of neutral that was actually a very good match. My main reason for going was to meet Sir Lunchalot from way back on the forum. I was half expecting him to weigh about 20 stones but he obviously doesn't do what his name suggests and looks very slim. Hope you enjoy the rest of your speedway tour round the U.K. Howard. Leicester have lost 14 points at home and gained 3 points away thus are currently -11. BelleVue have lost 8 points at home and gained 3 points away thus are currently -5. So by season long form Wolves are currently doing the worst. The published league tables only shows number of match points obtained regardless of number of matches - Wolves only have more match points because they've had more matches than the other two. Obviously it doesn't mean Wolves will finish the season bottom BUT if all three teams finish the rest of their fixtures without losing points at home and Wolves do not gain any away, then sorry but bottom is where they'll stay! This is irrefutable logic. Edited August 10, 2014 by Star Fever

Looool ok - you believe what you want to, but you surely will admit that the 'only' league table is totally misleading? However, it is only CORRECT and shows ACCURATE positions at the end of the season when all fixtures are done .. so why take any notice of it NOW? Big Al
Yes because it's such a weak league for a rider of tai"s class & I would imagine he is on a set wage. He's probably on a "Monster" wage Retire Karlsson, you're past it (according to some) Wonderful things, blood transfusions! Pity the benefits start to wear off after 10 heats
