Weeyin
Sheffield had a good guest in Kevin 1, bet it will be Kevin 2 on Sunday
Dcb7
This was a great meeting....big thumbs up,to the promotion, great feel good factor, two excellent guests in Wolbert and Ash (don't think that's the last time we'll see Ash riding for us, watch this space). Any news on Josh anyone?
Cue Ball
They announced after the meeting that Josh had a headache but that was it. Can't believe that he didn't break anything in what was a sickening looking crash. I heard him hit the fence from near the start line Should also say, cracking rides from both guests, we would have been up against it without them with Taylor looking down on power in comparison to recent weeks
EIS002
Just got back from the meeting and what a good meeting, good racing with plenty of passing. Wolbert was on the gas all night. Thanks to all the riders for a good nights entertainment.
Hel'n'Back
To be fair, Wolbert did score 10 when he came earlier in the season with Glasgow! Obviously, likes the Sheffield track, wouldn't mind him in the team next year!
spin king
Three points to the Tigers and rhe Comets go away with nothing. and too be frank they did not deserve to. The Guests that Sheffield booked were good, and I think that the Promotion should consider both Kevin Wolbert and Ashley Birks if we require Guests again. Steady was as good as ever. Ben Wilson was okay. Taylor Poole was not as good as he has been recently, but still scored some vital points. Josh Bates did well and the race where he crashed he was giving Bach and Campton hell. Workington No one really comes out with credit apart from Guest Barrett, the rest frankly performed well under par. End of the day good win for the Tigers and the scoreline flattered the Comets. .
Lord Lucan
Well, I have to admit that that is a very poor result for the Comets? I've been unable to get on the updates site to have a look at the meeting scores/comments due to some tech issues with the site, but it would appear that I was correct in thinking that the performance of Sheffield's guest's would play a key part in the outcome, both would appear to have done well whereas our's, possibly Barrett aside, would appear to have not, lob in some poor returns from our regular guy's and the result doesn't look in any doubt!! Cant comment too much on the match until I've been able to see the scores and read some quotes from people who were there in order to get a general idea of how things went, safe to say tho it's not what I'd expected from tonight, the performance appears to have been a disappointing one and I'm getting the feeling that the wheels, while not yet off, are definitely short of a full quota of bolts!! Pretty low on confidence now I'd say, too many injuries, too few matches, no chance lately of getting a positive run going and judging by that forecast for Sunday up our way it ain't gonna start anytime soon?? Monarchlad
The tigers will be livid with Agent Wolbert.......

The usual Simon Stead show , tractors out everytime before he raced . Lack of continous meetings is really starting to show in the Worky camp, but onwards to the next have quite a few to catch up on . Hope Josh bates is okay after his awful crash

Paulco
I bet the Glasgow fans are scratching their head at Wolbert score! Not really , he was superb at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago and followed that up with zero at Plymouth the following night . He could easily guest for Sheffield next week and score two . You just never know which Kevin Wolbert turns up
topgun
When is this team going to start having a go and win something for the fans that pay good money to watch them. or have they just give up .
Taylorj
When is this team going to start having a go and win something for the fans that pay good money to watch them. or have they just give up . Probably when the keyboard warriors like yourself stop the bloody whinging and get off their backs . Sheffield were poor the week before , had the luck last night with great guests , unfortunately when we were racing them . Try supporting them for a change instead of knocking them all the time , were you there last night ?? they didn't give up . The season hasn't gone to what was expected yet but we are where we are , give it a rest OK except the races where Tigers 5-1'd Workington Nahh, they were after bend 1 also

The first 9 heats and many after that will certainly go down as probably the most boring to be ever seen at Owlerton. Apart from the score a truly awful meeting lacking in any entertainment whatsoever.

Apart from the score a truly awful meeting lacking in any entertainment whatsoever. Would not say it was a classic, the race where Josh Bates was shaping up to be pretty tasty but not much more after that, but then again the opposition were poor and it takes two teams to make a good speedway meeting. Cue Ball
Didn't think it was too shabby personally. Not the best meeting, but a few good races
Hel'n'Back
Well I enjoyed it apart from Josh's crash...so glad he has no broken bones... If we had have had Andre riding then the score would have been very much different!

EIS002
Penny just dropped Workington like a ploughed field and sore losers and Sheffield only beat them because we had better guests. Worky were poor fact! And the score flattered them
Lord Lucan
Penny just dropped Workington like a ploughed field and sore losers and Sheffield only beat them because we had better guests. Worky were poor fact! And the score flattered them Clearly written by someone who's never been to DP before? If you'd ever seen a "ploughed field" type track prepared at DP you would have known that the only people who ride well on it are the opposition, our track is best when it's smooth/slick and dry and better suited to our way of riding, why do you think we struggle so much away from home? As for the rest, you "did" have better guests who did the job expected of them while our rider's, judging by the updates site, didn't do their's to the same standard hence, we lost you didn't!! We were confident of a result at Sheff no doubt but we didn't ride well enough to do that so whether the score line flatters us is irrelevant, you only get 3pts whether you win by 12 or you win by 50? Am I a sore loser, no, not really, I,m very pragmatic actually, as I've said here and previous, the result was disappointing the performance just as but at the end of the day moaning about circumstance wont change anything for us so I'll get over it and move on!! Just imagine the field day you could have had then if my suggestion of doing a double header with our 2nd match against you from later this season had been taken up, you could have walloped us twice.... result!!!!
