Gloves
Well as a Brummies man on hols decided to go to this meet too. Enjoyed it and I have to say I do think the fast track draft is improving riders. Steve Worrall is certainly better and a year ago you would never have seen Kyle Newman beating batch and Simon. I await the negative comments but this system needs to stay in some form.
foreverblue
Good points from the young lad. And our Kyle at No 4 for Lakey. And he got paid 6 which is terrific from second string position, hope he keeps this form going,

Grachan
Thought I'd go to this one as it's school holidays. Guess what! Speedway is still actually quite enjoyable. Good win for Swindon, and it's nice to see Nathan Greaves get a few and winning rider of the night. I quite enjoy the fast track riders. Kildermand and North were particularly good for Swindon. For Lakeside I was impressed with Newman. Crowd wasn't massive but decent enough. Was Rosco there? Never heard a thing from him all night. Lakeside did badly with their tr rides. Particularly when Bridger didn't let his partner through. And that was after looking round on the last corner. Very odd. theblueboy
Good performance from the team. I just got bored and felt like switching the stream off but I never did lol. Riders were winning by straights FTG all the time. What a big fan such as yourself?...what a lovely night to have given those purple chino's another airing.
orion
Nice weather decent crowd enjoyable meeting . Got to love the crowd and Greaves as they cheer him on and also at the same time pray that he won't fall off . When he does fall off he always hit the same bit of air fence . The kid got quite a bit of talent thou and just needs to stop beating himself up so much as he expects to much to soon . For Swindon I thought Batch looked slow again but North has done really well a lot better than I expected to be honest . For Lakeside let again Bridger was being Bridger given up in races then pulling Wheelies and then not letting Bech past while on double points . Looks like nothing is going to change in his Attitude .
Grachan
I haven't been for a while now. Tbh the racing has not really been great. How do you know if you haven't been.
A ORLOV
Good meeting and it was pleasing to see improvements from Nick and Nathan. Dak is getting better each meeting and Killer also put in a good 10 points, Steve a good 7 and Simons first meeting under this new system as a heat leader was ok. Do not know if Batch was still ill, but his scores should be better. Nathan was man of the meeting and it was pleasing to see him a lot happier. I hope he can keep up the improvement. We now need to win every home meeting and get a few points on the road if we want to get to the play offs. If batch was still under the weather - as he clearly was on Wednesday - why on earth not try to get a guest. I realise it didn't matter so much for the result at home, but it surely can't be doing him or the team any good to keep racing if he's not well??! Grachan
bet365 streams. Never judge a meeting by how it comes over on Bet365. The run-off between Anders Michanek and Peter Collins for the 1973 KO Cup would have probably looked a bit boring on one of those.
Pirate Nick
I think them riding in the PL is what is improving the FTR riders! If nothing else the FTR is helping riders improve by giving them extra meetings and therefore more track time.
arnieg
Not very clever of the Swindon management to get the riding order wrong in the programme. Do the greensheets not make it to Wiltshire?
marko
To be fair its probably nothing to do with the speedway promotion but the printers, i know Lakeside have had a lot of problems in the past with printing errors in the program which has been outside their control. Blimey, i have just stuck up for promoters, i better go and have a lay down!
Gemini
Not very clever of the Swindon management to get the riding order wrong in the programme. Do the greensheets not make it to Wiltshire? The promoters are probably getting that confused these days trying to keep the riding order secret from fans who print their own programmes that they've got mixed up themselves. The 1-7 names weren't in alphabetical order were they?
Grachan
The teams were listed, in riding order, on the Swindon website on Monday. Swindon's only little trick to try to get people to buy a programme is to have a scoreboard that never actually shows the score.
stratton
A funny meeting really Watt started well, well done to Nathan the guy has some balls was really chuffed for him.He has showed he has ability, when he rode simon's bike and in a way reminds me of Malc Holloway. He fell quite alot early and later on in his career but kept coming back.Nathan has showed real mental strength fair play to him hope he has a decent end to the season.
