Swindon V Lakeside 07/08/2014

Recommended Posts

Pathetic performance so far tonight from Mr Watt for his Smederna team, replaced already in his third ride having been off the pace in his opening two and giving up!

Would expect them to drop him shortly if they make the Swedish play offs.

Not expecting anything from him at Swindon nor at home to Poole on Friday when he will be back in full Agent mode i suspect.

Bit like the meeting at Kings Lynn which got rained off, you can tell once again Lakeside are throwing this one under the proverbial bus.

Why should his performance in Sweden matter??

Darcy got 3 in Poland and Tai Maximum on Sunday and they had opposite scores last night!!

I don't get what this fixation is with what riders are doing abroad!

Ah yes, but Poole are now pretty safe for a play off place. So Agent Watt will ride well this Friday as Poole would rather take on the Hammers should they get to the play offs - where Agent Watt can be activated once again.

7+1 at home against Eastbourne, and 6+3 at Monmore Green, when we recently beat you Steve.

Not bad - and a few more points than PK returned the other night mate! ;)

As he is replacing a heat leader those aren't heat leader scores. ;)

lost a bit of interest as no speedway recently, should be a comfortable home win about50-40, although Swindon have struggled recently and had to rely on last heat advantages after being behind early on which at least makes meetings more interesting. Roscos Rampant Rockin Red Robins need to win this to be in with a chance of a play-off place. As someone said the riders need a decent track to have the confidence to ride on, and hopefully Peter the Killer wont be too tired this meeting.

Come the end of the season Lakeside and Swindon are expected to be fight for the last of the play-off positions. With that in mind, this meeting takes on added importance. If Lakeside were riding at the NA. I know they would be up for it and contest every point. Be interesting to seen what happens here and of their intentions for the playoffs

The difference in points between these two are paramount. A point for Lakeside could be so precious. Having lost 12 points at home already, Swindon can't afford any more slip-ups. Another dropped point could be the final straw.

Why you say that GRW? last time Hammers were supposed to ride at the NA they showed no interest in battling for every point, they were prepared to give Ellis the night off and replace a heat leader with a junior, its more or less the same thing they are doing this week.

Blimey mate, you've got more confidence than many of us Lakeside fans.

We've got Kyle Newman in for Kim Nilsson, and Paul Starke in for Adam Ellis.

In other words, were heading to one of our main play-off contenders with, let's be blunt, THREE 'Fast Track' reserves.

So having had Bechy away with domestic fixtures, now Kim is absent. And Ellis has to turn-out for his PL side as Ipswich take on the might of Rye House.

Does an EL team in England EVER get first place in the pecking-order with these blokes?

What an utter farce this League has become.

I thought Ellis was a Lakeside asset giving them first call on him on the original fixture list?

So did we mate!

Last time there was a clash, our promoters let him ride (at his own request) for Ipswich.

Not sure about why they get priority this time around.

But you know us mate - we're Lakeside; the team that lets other promoters, riders, refs and even medical officials shaft us easier than a brass with a crack-cocaine habit.
