drew2
After a display like that from the promotion of Rye House, myself and 3 others who have not missed the return fixture between these club in the last 5 seasons, have decided not to go, as it seems against the grain putting money in a promotors pocket, who really dosent care about his own fans, let alone it seems the sport in general.... Take take take... Excuse excuse excuse !!!!! Really feel for the faithful Rye fans that made the trip As to finding a replacement rider for Mr Kennet, i know of 2 riders both heat leaders, and live resonablyclose that offered there services last night, and Mr sandford reaction was we would be better going with R/R..... Both know the track and have riden there at least 3 times this season... It seems to me that Mr silver would rather save his pennies, and starve us the paying public a more competative meeting..... Kennett's rides cost them exactly 1 point! Any guest (especially the one i heard to had offered to ride) would have definitely scored more than that! Don't get down to the OTA much on race nights this season and that was my first meeting of the year due to work/family commitments. Every time i get a chance to go i seem to end up seeing Rye House and in all honesty that team is hardly of PL standard. Reckon Cradley would turn them over at Monmore! At least they won't be back again this season. Boxall should have sent a text saying he wasn't coming, at least the Somerset fans would have understood that!!
Halifaxtiger
Old Len was in the comic saying Scunthorpe NL team was so weak its bad for the NL and minimum points limit needs putting in place...maybe he needs to look at little closer to home but...in Silvers defence, although not a great 1 to 7 hes got they should do alot better than they have been doing I agree. The team might not be brilliant but they are better than that, even allowing for how good Somerset are at home. I'd say at least some of the fingers should be pointed at the riders. Alan_Jones
I'd say at least some of the fingers should be pointed at the riders.Very true, but we know none of those fingers will be of the Silver/Sampford variety. After all, they're all trying hard/carrying injuries/having mechanical problems/any other excuse you can think of...
Lord Skid
The Team are far better than they are performing, looks like they've had enough this year already, one too many dodgy rain offs, and dodgy home tracks has taken it's toll, have hardly ever seen a team (using the term very loosely) look so fed up. It's a bit like having a decent greyhound, but only feeding it Tesco's own dog food, it's cheap but just doesn't work, look after it well and it'll perform, treat it badly and it'll crap all over you.
