Gaz
Thanks for the update. Going to leave it as late as possible before setting off. What do u think the chances are of it going ahead. Bright sunshine in Newcastle!

ellioth4
Understandable to see this meeting called off with the weather conditions today. I predict a double header meeting at Glasgow on the 24th August with Premier League and KO Cup meetings ridden on the same afternoon starting about 2pm. Hope the meeting goes ahead this evening. MD
The backlog of fixtures are stacking up. Don't fancy a double header with Newcastle twice on the same day. Could be some Monday night racing to come. I always think we get caught out by running such few matches during the summer holidays. We lose a weekend to the Pairs/GP but after that.... freddyfivetoes
Might l gently mention that Scotland doesn't "do" a Bank Holiday in August? September weekend north of the border!
StevePark
Might l gently mention that Scotland doesn't "do" a Bank Holiday in August? September weekend north of the border! I for one, am well aware of that fact, but, the original PL fixture is still on 'our (English)' Bank Holiday Monday on the 25th., so a Double Header shouldn't make too much difference to travelling support. MD
Finances must be stretched now at Ashfield. Unfortunately that is likely to be the case particularly as it seems Glasgow potentially fly in 4 riders. However both promotions could have agreed yesterday to postpone on the basis of a shockingly wet forecast and a weather warning. It was the correct call for the Glasgow leg as the rain has been constant all day.
