Gazc
It's a good team on paper but like you say they can't get all the riders to perform on the same day, really Glasgow are there for the taking and you got stuffed.Thats Speedway though. We are since the Promotion decided to weaken us even further with there strange signing policy.
DJEuan
No one seems to have mentioned though that one of the track staff actually showed the red flag at the end of the first lap, if being totally objective I would say that would be a pretty good reason for a re run especially as Douglas slowed down at it. The referee seemed to miss that too. He seems to miss rather a lot Never spotted that. He's not meant to show a flag until the lights come on. Exactly . Even rider replacement for Henry is about 6 or 7 points better off than bringing in another duff Scandanavian who doesn't look anywhere near PL standard . I think the genuine 6-7 pointer foreigners aren't really interested in British Speedway these days.Better money to be made elsewhere .Watching all the young talent at Berwick u/21 round last year you knew fine that you would not see any in the PL.

Lioness
Never spotted that. He's not meant to show a flag until the lights come on. Naughty boy So tempted to be cheeky and ask if you ever fancied becoming a ref To be fair there were so many shennanigans going on at the start I am not surprised that a good number of people I believe missed it but it did happen, honest! It might have been my angle but to try and excuse the track member a little I didnt notice the red lights come on until extremely late when Douglas went down in heat 6 and I suspect the red flag was shown first then too but not so sure on that one. Just realised that I havent said it before about the meeting but Rusty was bleedin awesome to watch on Monday night. Theo and Anders were very good too but Rusty's outside swoops and cuts up the inside were just great to watch and the type of thing that would get people back to speedway so well done to the track staff on giving the conditions to allow it (although again Mr Dishington I believe wasnt so impressed with the track - but then we've already established his eyesight isnt very reliable!) Rusty's home form in the main has been very good . And for his ability round Ashfield , i would have him back next year
Lioness
From speaking to those who were at Berwick we appear to have 2 Rusty's as well! I fully admit I wasnt overly excited about his signing but boy has he proved me wrong and I reckon he just edges it for me as my favourite this season.Anders is pushing hard though - in more ways than one! Showed Ryan Douglas he wasnt scared to take it or give it on Monday!

I was at Berwick , and yes it appeared wet track Rusty wasn't exactly putting it all in . And his away form can be erratic . But for his home form alone , i would have him in my team . Rusty , Anders ,Dimitri and Kasper would be fine as over half the 2015 septet
Lioness
thats the easy bit - now pick the no1. Oh for Shane Parker to come back! Could you imagine how he would have brought these kids on especially as they are clearly eager. (Mind you sending Kasper to Grievesy for gating lessons might not be a bad idea!)

I'm afraid we may never see a rider have such an impact on and off the track , as Shane Parker was for our club . We were truly blessed for 6 seasons and the void he left has never really been filled and probably never will be .
lewy
Rusty was awesome when the tigers came to plymouth a few weeks back definately one of the best performances from a visiting rider this season!
Dcb7
Interested to read the negative comments on here about Ash Birks...... I would happily have him back at a Sheffield, fresh start and all that..!
lucifer sam
Interested to read the negative comments on here about Ash Birks...... I would happily have him back at a Sheffield, fresh start and all that..! What negative comments? From one person? Ash generally hasn't done too badly at all this year, considering the injuries he's come back from. He remains a popular member of the Scorpions' side. All the best Rob Edited August 6, 2014 by lucifer sam

See the so-called "duff Scandanavian" qualified from the Swedish Individual round at Malmo tonight with 8pts ahead of Peter Ljung, Jacob Thorssell, Fredrik Engman, Anton Rosén, Robin Aspegren, Simon Gustafsson, & Ludvig Lindgren Still I suppose two matches (on borrowed equipment ?) confirms he is not good enough for the Tigers

However the problem is that we've seen this all too many times before at Glasgow . And one point in eight rides means we could be heading into Michael Penfold country with this one . Obviously i hope i'm forced to eat humble pie and the lad turns out to be a solid performer , experience watching our Scandanavian acquisitions suggests otherwise though . Your previous Scandinavian (aka Anders Thomsen) did not make an impressive start either, and he did not begin in the number one slot. Your promotion persevered and their patience is now paying off. Robert Eriksson rated Palovaara as a promising prospect in 2011, so perhaps the Tigeratti should give the lad some slack instead of online hostility. Mr Blobby
Seems a bit like the thomsen last year. Season is over bring in an assessed 7 point rider he rides heaps of scrap metal for the rest of the season until he gets a proper average (witch will see him at reserve for next season). He will then bring over decent bikes the following year (like thomsen) and clean up from reserve. Very clever thinking from the tiggers
