northyorksbear
I must admit I think alot is going to depend on these catch up meetings , if Worky get enough in I think they will comfortably make it into the playoffs along with Edinburgh ,Somerset and Berwick . That then leaves IMO Ipswich , Scunny and Peterborough to fight it out for the final 2 spots , sorry Newcastle and Redcar but I think you may struggle . No need to apologise - we've been struggling since Kozza cocked up his visa and then really struggling when someone thought Konopka was a suitable replacement

StevePark
I think the main question should be , with the Smugs running away with the league - who can stop them becoming champions . Berwick look sure bets for the play-offs , but their record against Edinburgh is lamentable and are discounted for that reason . Somerset should be there too , and are capable , but some of their away performances - especially at Ipswich , casts a doubt . Peterborough have been impressive against them , both at home and in Smugville , they would have been favourites had they been able to bring in Schlein , wonder who blocked that one ? Ipswich take great delight in noising up the Smugs , so they would be useful play off contenders Of the rest , Scunny could make the play-offs if Howe clicks at reserve for the next month , while Workington are capable , but they are as bad as Berwick at the Dump . The same people who blocked Newcastle bringing in Robert Lambert?

lucifer sam
The same people who blocked Newcastle bringing in Robert Lambert? Robert Lambert was blocked from coming in, because it was blatantly against the rules. All the best Rob

crescent girl
Edinburgh (+19), Somerset (+13) and Berwick (+12) are absolutely nailed-on to qualify. Scunthorpe, Peterborough and Workington are all on +4, Ipswich are +1. The other six clubs are all in the minus column.

marron
Yeah, Bears' chances look pretty slim as we're carrying at least 1 passenger in all meetings. As someone said earlier, it looks like any chance we had of success was lost when Kozza's visa didn't get sorted.
LagutaRacingFan
Panthers won't reach the PO's, they are in a mess with no number 1 and an injury curse over them.
YAMYAMBANDIT
Still don't understand the logic of play offs, at the end of the season the team with the most points is the winner. If it is used to stretch the season out, then the league structure is set up wrong, change it to we meet each other twice home & away.

Total farce, Berwick had 2 meetings in May and 2 meetings in June, then 2 weeks in Sept and 2 weeks in Oct are taken up by The Play Offs. Everyone then sits back and wonder why we caanot get the rain offs fitted in. Needs to get a proper structure, the powers that be, need the proverbial kick up the backside. You would have had problems with either a straight league title, or the Playoffs version, with the number of rain off meetings you have had. Despite the 'only in Speedway' comment being used once again, a previous thread on here demonstrated the widescale use of playoffs in many varies sports across the sports world. Moan about anything and everything, 'only in speedway'.
bigcatdiary
panthers wouldn't have stood a cat in hells chance of making the play offs with schlein , What and you think they improved with RR for Fisher and a woeful performing DRYML.
