Najjer
Southern Section fixtures: Thursday 25th Sept, Ipswich v Scunthorpe Friday 26th Sept, Scunthorpe v Somerset Wednesday 1st Oct, Somerset v Scunthorpe Thursday 2nd Oct, Ipswich v Somerset Friday 10th Oct, Somerset v Ipswich TBA Scunthorpe v Ipswich Over 2 weeks until our next home meeting then, on dates which I can't go to, effectively ending my season as of last Friday which is a shame. As someone previously said I can see this group being thrashings handed out by the home team in nearly every match.

A blank week with the weather set fine. Then watch everyone panic to get it all completed when there is a bit of rain in a fortnights time! Crazy IMO.

Edinburgh and Somerset peaked too early. All the best Rob

lucifer sam
Can always dream at Berwick, but they stuff us every time we visit Armadump But you don't need to beat them on aggregate - just get the three points off them at your place, and then whatever Edinburgh do against Workington, you just need to beat it e.g. if Edinburgh take six points off Worky, then you take seven. crescent girl
EDINBURGH----WORKINGTON_____SCUNTHORP SOMERSET-----BERWICK---------------IPSWICH That went well, Taff! why is there the best part of two weeks from the cut off date to the first fixture in the group?? lucifer sam
No messing about up north. First two fixtures Friday and Saturday.... True, although the other four fixtures haven't been announced at all, so I'm expecting one on October 20th or something daft. Bash
That's what should happen in the southern group. One of the teams should be made to go to Ipswich Thursday as these playoffs have been know when they are taking place at the start of the season. With this group not now finishing until the 10th October, if there are any rain offs the final will be pushed to the final week of the season again. Although that wouldn't matter if it happened, since southern finalists won't be known until about then anyway!

screm
Giving the two groups, I`d love to know how the selections went for Edinburgh and Somerset. IMO Edinburgh will get through without to much bother, where as I wouldn't like to pick a winner from the Ipswich, Somerset and Scunthorpe group. Arson fire
Ipswich will thrash those 2 teams at home like they usually do, and in return get absolutely thrashed away at those tracks, I can see this group coming down to points scored.there will be a suprise result or 2, my guess would be Ipswich or scunny bottling it at home

Are Somerset hoping to get Brady Kurtz fit for the end of the season? The later the final the more chance of him getting fit.
Baldyman
So will the Ipswich riders be missing a bit of race sharpness, unless they get some guest bookings, or will we have ridden in Plymouth by then?

john birch
What I wan't to know is why the Premier League has this absolute rubbish play off formula (twelve matches at group stage and one group was effectively killed stone dead when Ippo I think lost the first match at home last year) when you could have the Swedish formula. 6v3, 4v5 winners versus 1 & 2 in the semi, much more on each match and less to arrange as only eight matches before the final.
