Kent Whistle Gang
Maybe not, but until recently they had been doing reasonably well, and we {Cradley} didnt beat them by much more than Kent. Just because we are top, doesnt mean we have to go around with heads bigger than Gas Ometers. Well said greyhound. I think gustix is wrong on this occasion; everyone is entitled to their opinions, but Heathen1984 takes it too far. He has a history of gate-crashing threads and crowing. That causes ill feelings between supporters and there's no place for it in speedway.
Heathen1984
Just stating the obvious or ain't we allowed opinions on here now. We were poor against Stoke as well not saying we were great. Only 3 my decent teams in the league this season I'm afraid.
whistlegang
You only beat Stoke, not exactly great are they. Sod it, i'm going to take the bait. They had Ben Wilson at #1 - he has been snapped up by a premier league side. Their guest, James Sarjeant, has EL experience and is on a 9 average. Their #2 Chris Widman is the 6th most improved rider this season and he does well at our track. I really rate him even though he had a night to forget last night. Ben Hopwood has ridden CP a dozen times (and guested as our #1 this season) - he also rides EL. Lee Payne was on EL duty i think so they brought in the wonderful Marc Owen. He has ridden our track a dozen times, can pass anybody and he also rides EL. Jon Armstrong needs no introduction as he has scored bags of points for your team. Yes they were without James Mcbain at reserve but Shuttleworth is decent enough and Kirby is an ex King who scored 7 paid 9 against us a few weeks ago. Oh, and Stoke have won their last two visits to CP. #BYW Edited August 5, 2014 by whistlegang

You're just using free expression as an excuse to brag about how good your team is and how crappy the rest of us are. You seem to feel you can just saunter in and say anything you like, no matter how upsetting or controversial, just because you have an 'opinion'. Reality check mate, when you spit out mindless remarks like that, they're not opinions, they're insults. Don't be surprised when occasionally someone has a go back - it's called self defence. If you have any affection for the team you follow, you wouldn't go about demeaning others. It hurts and you won't always be top of the pile. What goes around.....
cityrebel
A fine gesture by the kent management last night. To let those fans that attended last weeks rain off in for nothing was excellent PR for the club. And was well appreciated by yours truly!

There are some touchy people who follow speedway. I cannot see anything wrong in a so-called outsider etering a debate with a comment even if they are not a regular visitor to the section. That's what debate forums are supposed to be for. I made a few comments on the Birmingham site some months ago and my last visit to see a Birmingham home match was when the Canadian rider Bill Matthews was in the side. And I bet many people have never heard of Bill Matthews?

Firstly though, I'm going to challenge your use of the phrase 'so-called outsider'; you make it sound like it's something I said, when in fact you are the only one to use it. Please don't make this into an argument about rights of access to threads; that's not where I was heading and I reckon you know that. Secondly, you seem to be arguing that there's a place for snidy, barbed comments in a reasoned and rational debate. I suspect that any right-minded person would see that as a negative and would fight to prevent this forum from being hijacked and dragged down into the gutter. Anyway, if you're so keen to champion the rights of people to voice their opinions, what about mine?

westhamboy66
Good meeting surprise result for me. Expected a big away win as i felt it was highly unlikely the make up of the Kent team could carry the burden of RR. Although not a Kent supporter i do attend most weeks and by enlarge enjoy the surroundings and a decent Speedway night out. Shame the forum page is spoilt by petty comments from those who don't attend Kent on monday nights, yes i have been vocal when i felt things were badly wrong at a meeting but to come on here have a pop just to provoke kent fans is no more than childish, sadly the same happens on the Rye House threads which reflect more about the idiots on the forum rather than the forum itself

They cannot put forward comments of their own so resort to make silly retorts to comments made by more serious (and intelligent) users of the BSF. TMW
You only beat Stoke, not exactly great are they. Welll they certainly gave Cradley some squeaky bum moments on Sun. Hardly a thumping as thought. Was it?
SCB
Did anybody catch the 'altercation' and the Elite rider with a bar in the pits last night? Whats this all about?
Heathen1984
Nope not a thumping. We were poor and against a Mildenhall or Coventry then we would of lost pretty easy. Missing 2 riders didn't help us thou and then Compton pulling out, was always gonna be difficult in those circumstances
