Berwick Bandits V Glasgow Tigers (pl: Saturday, Aug 2nd)

Really wish people would give new riders a chance to condem them after 1 meeting is just idiotic . Call yourselves fans I wouldn't

Bit harsh that , most fans were looking for a signing to excite us and give us a chance of some success in the KO Cup . What we got was someone hardly anybody had heard of . Now i hope the laddie does ok , but we've not got a great record in dabbling in the Scandanavian market . Saturday night didn't exactly inspire confidence that Victor might be any better than Juul , Andersen , Tornqvist etc .

I always follow the overseas results and I'd say Palovaara will be a good signing. He's not top of the range such as Berntzon but it wouldn't be realistic to think about getting him. Nobody comes with a guarantee but I'm virtually certain Palovaara will be a decent signing, better than these other names.

Fans as in sheep you mean?

His scores are no better than Bergstrom's in Sweden (on the plus side Viktor not Andreas)

But blame the fans, not the promotion who surely did there research and well signed him anyway. Glasgow have a decent middle - bottom end for next year potentially they don't need another 5-6 point rider. They need some guys getting double figures up top. I think Palovaara is a awful signing but that's just my opinion.

The fault here lies with the weak pathetic promotion who put Viktor in this ridiculous position not the fans. He has never ridden in this country yet they expected him to come in a do the job that the utter disgrace that is Kevin Wolbert has been failing to do since day one and it was always highly unlikely that Viktor would be able to do that. He is now under pressure from a support that have been expected to watch consistently losing teams for 2 seasons now and as the "No1" he will be the one to suffer as he is in the position of the supposed to be top scorer for the team.

So blame the people responsible for the situation THE PROMOTION and KEVIN WOLBERT not the long suffering fans who turn up week in week out to watch the drivel served up by these two. Viktor is just their fallguy unfortunately.

I haven't seen him ride so i cannot comment on Saturday i will see him tonight though but the thing here is regardless off wether we have seen him ride or not 90% of us hadn't even heard off him and therein lies the problem if he is as good as our promotion would have you believe then why wasn't he snapped up before now and the plain and simple answer to that is that he isn't as good as they would have you believe.

Whilst it is commendable in building up our asset base this is not the signing at this stage off the season we needed R/R for Christian and replace the waste of space that is Wolbert is the route i would have went down this now weakens an already weak team and the young lad's like Dimitri . Anders & Kasper must be getting sick off carrying this lot,

Alas no lessons have been learned on the Team building front i have repeatedly mentioned that they need look no further than 30mls along the M8 to see how it should be done as much as i would like this current signing to work i just can't see it happening.

I couldn't agree more our promotion have spouted about his scoring potential should add to the team they are having a laugh surely and don't treat the fan's as mugs either in no way is this lad a No1 any more than Wolbert is and the pressure that has now been put on the lads shoulders is unfair on him and unfair on us the paying public.

If someone on the promotion had a set Wolbert would have been sacked in May yet here we are in August and he is still there total and utter mis-management on there part in allowing him to continue as a Tiger then sign an untried Swede and herald him as the next big thing when clearly he will struggle to attain a 4 point average how much longer will we be subjected to the team building antics we have had the last couple off years.

Seems a poster trying to collect a few cheap likes, and you have so well done for that.

Victor Palovaara did nothing to inspire any Tigers fan last Saturday, its fair to say it probably wouldn't be right to make a definitive decision either way giving track conditions, but four last places, and last by a clear distance does nothing to make me think he get any where near a 7pt average, I hope the kid proves me wrong, but time will tell.

I don't think he will prove you me or anyone else who thinks this is A. A panic and hurried signing & B. the wrong signing for the wrong rider , I just read Colin Hamilton's comments & i quote (It is perhaps not ideal that Victor has to debut as our No 1 ) Well no Sh*t Sherlock why sign him as a No 1 then Why not sign a No1 as a No 1 it is not rocket science or perhaps for our promotion it is.

Think Palovaara is a signing for next year, at least by then he will have a true average, hopefully from Saturday night till now he will have been able to get some of his own kit over here to Glasgow.

Palovaara is only at No1 due to the inadequacies of his new teammates.

Seems like Glasgow are going for the no No1 and five reserves this season, giving the loyalty and number to which their supporters attend every meeting, they should be seeing better, though in Berge and Thomsen they have the starters of a half decent team.

We have so many riders to choose from for next year at reserve. Dimitri, Kasper, Victor, maybe even Joey Ringwood. I'm like everybody else i wish we had just signed an actual Number 1

I'd forgotten about Joey Ringwood. Unless he's been riding regularly in Oz this year, I don't know if he'd be worth another go. He got going at the end of 2013 but took two thirds of the season to do it.

Firstly I made my statement before his first Glasgow meeting. Secondly, do you think riders are picked out of nowhere and given a go? He's had a chance, in Sweden and he's not very good. It's a really weird signing.
