BluPanther
Denmark have blown it with that selection...
mdmc82
If I were the Danish Manager I'd go with Niels, Nicky Pedersen; MJJ and Hans Andersen. Feel sorry for the rest of the riders, but when your country is that strong, someone will always be disappointed. Would have gone for same 4 as you. Â Really surprised Denmark are taking a weakened team with a inconsistent Mads & PK who is likely to face exclusions if rides like tonight. Â Poland could have this in the bag
BritPete
Under which identity? Beware of doppelgangers, especially when one of them posts the opposite result elsewhere.
Bagpuss
I think the Danes have made the right choice personally. Kildemand might be a bit lairy but he has the most speed of the four who rode last night and Mads top scored so deserves his place. Bjarne as and Hans just wouldn't be quick enough IMO regardless of their experience. Â Poland will win it in any event.
g13webb
When a country has as many class riders as Denmark it sometimes is difficult to pick the best team. Opinions will always vary. I thought, last night, all the Danes rode well, and probably Mads being the best, beaten only by the bad gate positions on the outside. When in front he looked very quick. Having watched Mads for years, his gating has always been his nemesis, yet this was the reason the Manager has picked him. His never say die attitude is exciting, but I don't feel confident of him in this class of field. If he misses the gate I think he'll be left wanting. If Secker had wanted a gater he should have picked Kenneth Bjerre, who has performed more often on this sort of stage. Â As much as I love to watch Kildemand, I think, when behind, he tends to override and causes problems. He was fortunate last night on several occasions. It could easily have been so different He was lucky to score the points he did. Another night, another meeting, he probably wouldn't have been up for consideration. I rate Mads and Killer highly and enjoy watch them ride, But there is no sentiment at this level and I feel both will struggle to impose themselves on proceeding at this high level. Â Assuming Niels and Nicky are automatic choices , I'd gone for MJJ. On the world stage he is consistently quick and has done it before. Will always score points and be in with a shout. Look at the form he has shown in the SGP. Final slot going to Hans Andersen. Consistent, reliable, quick, riding on his home track. He would be there or there abouts in any company. There would be no gamble and he would score good points. Â I always believed SWC was a nailed on win for the Danes, now I'm not so sure.
Gavan
Wow strange choices from the Danes! Pedersen Iversen Bjerre and MJJ are the best 4 with Kildemand or Hans as reserve. As much as I like Mads he isn't in the class or experience of the other boys. Time to lump on the poles and wouldn't surprise me if the swedes or Aussies grab 2nd.
Bagpuss
Not surorised they haven't picked Kenneth but MJJ really ought to be in.
mdmc82
I like mads but even in the EL against weaker riders he struggles. Is one of these riders were can only ride certain tracks. Â Has he rode the track for the final before? Â Better news for Poland & team GB if Danes are putting out a weaker team
SCB
Mads is certainly an interesting choice. Kildemand is far less risky though. I guess the thinking is that MJJ and Bjerre have been off colour this season while Hans and Bjarne were not exactly dominant last night in a meeting that only really contained AJ in terms of top class opponents (no disrespect to the Czechs and other Swedes who are hardly Hampel, Pepe or Woffy...). These days Hans and Bjarne are more solid and dependable than that ruthless point scoring machines.
mothorsen
Still think Denmark will win it, but it's gonna be a close call. Looking forward to the race-off and think it'll be tight between Sweden and Aussie. Will Darcy choke again? Will AJ keep winning? And that awfull Joker rule to spoil it. Hancock will stir it up, but USA can't come through on just one rider. Cz will have the odd win or second, but will be left at the back. bigcatdiary
I agree with others Niels, Nicki, MJJ and Hans would have been my choice bearing in mind the finals at Bydgoszcz. Â Only time will tell if Secher was right.

Denmark have no chance with that team, probably doesn't make that much difference but they would have had a chance with their best riders, Darcy has never choked and the aussies will cruise to the final. arnieg
I like mads but even in the EL against weaker riders he struggles. Is one of these riders were can only ride certain tracks. Has he rode the track for the final before? Better news for Poland & team GB if Danes are putting out a weaker team 11 from six rides last month, same as team mate Jason Doyle. He lost two out of three against Hans Andersen. Think it's his only appearance there in last five years.
foreverblue
No never. He flew like the wind at King's Lynn. Please... He had a off night, happens to everyone, he didn't choke, had a engine failure and stopped for a red light. only the majority of gp semi finals but im guessing we gloss over that......oh and saturday night He didn't choke at cardiff, if by choking you mean he can't gate and can't pass because there is only one line then fair enough. You surely have to admit he has a poor GP semi-final rate though?
foreverblue
You surely have to admit he has a poor GP semi-final rate though? Yes agree there but it's not choking, trouble is everyone seems to think Darcy should win every race he is in. like him to be a world champion one day but he ain't no Rickardsson is he and i doubt any of the current crop of riders can be
