bigeddiechek
What a great stadium, track, and welcome at Ipswich. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit: apart from the result. Yes, Ipswich were good, the meeting was very entertaining (again apart from the result), and a friendlier welcome I have never experienced. Anyone not been to Foxhall, I highly recommend you get along. A bit disappointed in a couple of our lads, but Steen and Clause had good nights and Matej Kus put in a solid performance, Doolan battled and wa worth much more. Just a strong Witches flying on allcylinders. I met Matej Kus, he is a great guy and he put a decent shift today;

From what we are led to believe the whole of the stand on the starting straight side is set to be replaced along with the old garden bar area to really bring it up to 21st century standard . Admittedly it's pretty much all for the benefit of the stock car crowds which are much much larger but hey we speedway fans can reap the rewards as well ! I would like to think that when complete Ipswich would be in a great position to maybe host one of the bigger meetings currently held at other venues , the infrastructure certainly would be there and the stadium can hold in excess of 10,000 people so why not ?
Jonny the spud
By all accounts this was a cracker of a meeting. As I wasn't there is it one worth getting on DVD ?

It's going to be an excellent arena when that is complete, and I didn't mind the result as the racing was excellent. I'm looking forward to coming back. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Morten Risager, what a cracking guy!

2ndbendbeerhut
By all accounts this was a cracker of a meeting. As I wasn't there is it one worth getting on DVD ?I got the Dvd last night. Anyone know if this one was of the normal standard? I know it was kids hols but didn't have to go as far as using one on the camera!? Zoom in. Zoom in oh where's the other riders? Only see at best 2 riders going into the 1st bend! Oh where's the focus? Oh well...... Edited August 8, 2014 by 2ndbendbeerhut
Baldyman
Not very good filming then?
CardinalSin
I used to like the dvds, but gave up on them when they changed the filming position from the home straight, to between the first and second bend.
2ndbendbeerhut
Position is not the problem. It's the constant zooming in so you only see 1 rider going into the 1st turn. At the start you see all 4 but once the tapes go up its the last time you see all 4!
CardinalSin
Position is not the problem. It was for me it completely spoiled it as far as I'm concerned. Must admit though, I never got the zooming in problems you've described on the dvd's I've had. Have they got someone new doing the filming?
