Ipswich Witches V Berwick Bandits Pl 31-7-14 @ 7-30 Pm

Recommended Posts

Great meeting. Plenty of passes and not as one sided as score suggests. Since the lull and struggle against Glasgow the team have certainly pulled together and all of them are finding some form. Track looks best it's been with a few lines and riders seem to be helping each other on track too. Long may it continue.

As for Berwick. Their riders were in the mix but Witches were more determined. Wethers, Bellego and Carr were struggling but the rest had their moments and on other nights would have scored more.

So, were Ippo that good ? After last weeks win some on here hinted that it was down to Somerset being that bad rather than Ipswich being good . Surely we can't be that unlucky two weeks running ?

Yes Ipswich were that good! On that performance would have given any team a tough time. Like I added to previous post, just seemed to be very determined like their lives depended on it. Don't know what has been said recently but has certainly worked!

Ps that goes for Adam too. Looks a totally different rider last 2 weeks, gating well, fast and looks more confident!

Well , I certainly didn't expect that result and will give full credit to the team for an excellent all round performance tonight , pulling off some great passes when they didn't gate and looking full of grit and determination .

Have we finally turned the corner on the form front ?

Is it too late to secure a playoff place ?

Time will tell , but thoroughly enjoyed tonight and well done lads !

Great performance, decent crowd, top notch meeting, best of the season. Well done to some of the Berwick lads, it takes two teams to produce racing as good as that. If someone had said 2-3 years ago you'd get better racing at Foxhall than over the border at compost corner, you'd have been sent to the funny farm. But from what I've seen lately, the racing is certainly better this side of the border, and long may it continue!!! Up the Witches!!!

Hope he keeps that form when we ride against Poole Friday week.

Getting anything at Ipswich was always going to be a tough ask, though I thought we might score a few more. As has already been pointed out no team will win meetings if three riders score only two between them and you have two riders scoring zero, bit of a mystery why captain Wethers was allowed all four rides.

Hoping for much better tonight at Scunthorpe.

Decided to pop along to this one at the last minute and I'm so glad I did, some fabulous racing.

On another very hot and humid day it must have been a nightmare for the track staff to get the track in decent shape for racing.

But hats off to them because they produced a top class race strip and the excellent racing naturally followed.

I'm not as convinced as some about our current excellent form. Yes in the last 2 meetings we have won comfortably, but i don't think the opposition has been as good as it could have been. Now if we get a point out of tonight's meeting, then I will then agree with the others that we have suddenly hit top form.

If you think Berwick were bad, wait until we pitch up next week. Hope your promoter has deep pockets.

Oh, and you can tell the staff in the snack bar on the first bend to cheer up too. Miserable lot

Are we talking Di's diner staff? Think it's mostly kids who serve the food there but the fella who pulls the pints is a cracking fella, very friendly.

He is indeed . Kept serving us Glasgow fans long after heat 15 had been run
