DutchGrasstrack
Little question: is there any speedway racing planned for the 5th of August? I'm planning a week of speedway in the UK but can't seem to find anything for August 5 THANKS.

Woz01
I looked for a meeting on this date as it's my birthday. Unfortunately only Cradley and Peterborough ride Tuesday and they have nothing arranged.

SteveLyric2
But at least you get the chance to see Poole twice!! Away at Wolves on 4th (Live on Sky) and as close as we get to a local derby - home to Swindon on 6th!! You know it make sense! Enjoy your week. DutchGrasstrack
Enjoyable week in the UK sofar... Never been to any of these tracks till now. Wolves on monday: cool little place with some great racing. Surprised you could only stand on the home straight. The commentator was awesome, he got some crazy moves as well!! Bit of sightseeing in Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester on tuesday. Poole on wednesday: great track and quite a big crowd I must say! Dull commentator compared to the dude at Wolves. Racing was great again. Been to Swindon today, don't like the place. Hard to see all the racing because of the high fence, not cool. Compared to Wolves and Poole today's racing was not very exciting. Off to Lakeside tomorrow. Gotta admit it's a pretty expensive experience to watch to many speedway meetings. All clubs ask 17 pounds which is like 22 euros. Not sure what the monthly income is in the UK but to watch all your team's meetings with your family must be costing a fortune.. Programm is not included in the price (strange), adds another 3 pounds. Plus parking!

Thanks! Sadly you have only seen EL racing, you haven't managed to get to any PL meetings, which as we all know is far better than the rabble they call the EL. Hope your enjoying your speedway though. Enjoyable week in the UK sofar... Never been to any of these tracks till now. Wolves on monday: cool little place with some great racing. A programme should be no more than £1 like the Scunthorpe one or included in the admission price. All we need is the race programme and a few words from the promoter/manager not £2.50 plus worth of adverts and other rubbish to make it look like we're getting value for money. I refuse to buy one at Coventry now as that money will go towards my petrol from Leicester, and many others do the same, so the promoters in their wisdom go out of their way to make it difficult to print your own by releasing the teams in alphabetical order. If I can't find out I just take a blank piece of paper to write the scores down. Sorted. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in England and don't have a wasted journey to Lakeside as the weather forecast is not looking too brilliant at the moment.

Quite agree Gemini - I find that both childish and pathetic. Yet another pinprick to push the Supporters in to b*ggering off and walking away from Speedway altogether.
DutchGrasstrack
Too bad Lakeside got called off, at least we could get on an much earlier ferry back to Dunkirk. Realy enjoyed the week in the UK and I will be back for more action for sure. Although so many speedway meetings are IMO not the way to go for UK speedway, it is good for speedway fans to go on a 'holiday' and watch some racing (almost) every day haha.
