The White Knight
Never used to be like this. I can remember watching close racing, with pairs of riders riding as they should do and fighting hard to keep back the opposite teams pair of riders. Now it is leap from the gate and follow me if you can. Dead right.
FTM
Not aimed at me either but I've not subscribed to Sky Sports this season for the first time and have only missed it on the odd occasion. I can watch the G.P's etc. on Eurosport, also the Swedish matches if I wanted to but strangely enough I've not really been that interested in them. I've watched a couple of the matches but that's all. Still watch the G.P's but if they weren't on Eurosport I probably wouldn't bother with them either. Should I get worried? I,ve got access to some nice coloured wool and Knitting needles if you want a substitute for Speedway Gem LoL cheers Mick C Edited July 28, 2014 by FTM
Triple.H.
Maybe as so many like speedway on Eurosport and with highlights on Quest a few emails to those at the top of the tree at Eurosport HQ may make them consider a bid for contiuing righs for WC/SWC and Swedish league and bid in the future for British league at whatever level it lowers to before the fightback

orderly
Sky should adopt the pay per view for Sky Sports then we could watch the domestic meetings that we want to watch and not have football rammed down our necks all the time and it would work for me because after 50+ years supporting speedway I am now prohibited from attending meetings due to health problems

Of course you can remember watching some close racing etc.. we all do. What you forget is the hundreds of strung our races you will also have seen. Just like now.
peatbog
I have Virgin Media and British Eurosport 1 & 2 are on the basic subscription. You don't need to sign up for sports. Edited July 29, 2014 by peatbog

Only problem is the T.V books don't seem to include what's on Eurosport 2. I'd actually forgotten all about tonight's World Cup until someone commented about it on Facebook. Been very busy gardening and thought I'd go to ASDA for the weekly shop tonight instead of this afternoon - plans now changed.
weatherwatcher
Think back to the days of old upright engines. When speedway riders where men no the glory boys we see on the tracks today. Still love the sport, but the changes to the rules and the changes to the tracks and the bikes have changed it to what it has become today. Over fast bikes on slick tracks, and it is only the riders than get from the gate well that win the races. We see the odd close races, but those are very far and few. When do we ever see 2 riders work as a pair, not very often because thier team mate is usually so far infront, he dosen't even know where his team mate is.

Crump99
As you've watched, and enjoyed so much televised speedway, has it caused you to choose not to attend any speedway meetings you might otherwise have attended? - and I don't mean meetings which have been on TV Don't think he ever attends so no would be the answer, In fact much of what he watches on TV he'd moan endlessly about, in his absence, if it was served up at the EoES. kitten2502
Like you I subscribe to Sky for a whole variety or reasons, but I have to say the EuroSport coverage has been excellent, and I am really warming to the presenters. I just wish "Scotty" was referred to as Scott! Other than that excellent work by Eurosport's team
SCB
Where as we have Sky and Eurosport and I just cant get into Swedish speedway. Its nice to watch but a bit meh. Same with the SEC. I like British league racing and the GPs so would be lost without Sky. Edited July 30, 2014 by SCB

SCB
???? Must be me - second thing I can't understand on here today. I'm struggling with the Post too. My phone trying to be clever and change without to with. Without any affinity to any Swedish tema I don't care who wins or loses so it's just not quite the same, even when the racing is really good.
