Swc Event 1 King's Lynn 26/07/14

Recommended Posts

Woffinden >= Ward

King >= Woodward

Harris =< Batchelor

Stead =< Doyle

Pretty well balanced teams. Will be close for sure. Expecting great battle!

And in the real world we will be fighting for 3rd place.

Better to have put Lambert and Kerr in as cant see either King or Stead scoring that many.

I really hope they prove me wrong but just cant see it.

The other teams will be more fired up.

In saying that GO TEAM GB!

Thats good then king miles better than cook or stead

Miles better, hardly!

King currently sits on 6.93.

Cook is STILL ahead on 7.01

Stead is 6.14.

Even Barker on 6.11 and Bridger on 6.48 aren't MILES behind him either.

King has a better pedigree in the SWC but he is in no way miles ahead of the others.

I believe the drop down to the PL has done King the world of good based on what i saw last friday at Somerset. If he rides tonight like i saw last week, he will score points..

King and Stead should be beating all of the Italians and all of the Americans bar Hancock at the very least so ought to be around the double figure mark. If they are decent out of the start tonight then beating Bachelor, Doyle and Woodward shouldn't be beyond them either.

If Tai & Bomber do their jobs and we dont encounter too much bad luck we can win this IMO.

Problem was his replacement was awful in the race off, might as well have left Cook in. The main problem was picking Kennett who has always been poor at Lynn. Rosco has picked the four best horses for the course tonight, Cook can possibly count himself a little unfortunate but his time will come once he spreads his wings.

His time Might even come , when he answers his phone and emails , you never know

Off topic, I know, but anyone else read Rossiter's comments regarding his urgency to contact Cook regarding his selection. Rosco said he needed to get the Kevlars prepared, and so that's why he had to go for Kings (when Cook was 1471-ing it).

Surely, speedway cannot afford such luxuries as kevlars (at £500 a chuck). It also can't prepare for World Cup battle by deciding a line-up based on preparing costume before team strength.

It is a total waste, spending over two-grand on a team of kevlars, that won't be used (possibly after one meeting) for longer than a week.

Then again, who am I to ask... is this why speedway is failing - too much cash going out of the sport?

If each team are wasting that amount of money dressing up for a few meetings, just imagine how much cheaper the tickets could have been......... Probably then, all those posters who have said they're not going might have been persuaded....

and the paranoia kicks in! If you think Kennett was a good choice or that Bridger and Barker were right for the race off then you are way off the mark.

but no you are right its anti poole lol

would that be the Schlein that like Nicholls has 'retired' from internationals? Facts first please

lo he totally deserved the flak! Cook wasnt dropped for Kennett!

Ok didnt know schlein had given up internationals. How we could di with scotty always good value at lynn.

Kennett was a miatake so was not having king

My opininion not based on facts but in a world cup race far more reliable

All a bit negative. Maybe a sponsor or sponsors paid but who cares. They are representing GB so why not have the team looking smart and ready to do there best. If the lads had turned out in there normal gear then people would have moaned about that.

Some people just like moaning.

Speedway is close to relying on foodbanks but has enough money to buy a top of the range mobile.

I am sure them there Kevlars won't make our beloved Team GB go any faster... but, if it makes us look good on TV, then I'm up for a bit of wasting cash.

A track has already ceased this season, one almost there...and they wonder why.

Just a shame we do not have a fit Chris Holder,Ryan Fisher and a Russian team who would have qualified if they had not put 2 fingers up at BSI/FIM.Under these conditions Team GB,s standing in world speedway might be a bit clearer,I'm expecting a narrow Team GB win with Pearson shattering your eardrums,land of hope and glory playing at the track,Roscoe fist pumping.Its a shame because the World cup was my highlight of the season,but with teams weakened by injury (Australia) and rider withdrawal (Russia and Sweden)

also seeding the hosts to the final (wrong).Lets be honest Poland and Denmark could track 2 teams to reach the final,in recent years finishing 3rd was a badge of honour,not any more,nothing stopping Team GB finishing 3rd or 4th this year with a team which would have struggled to get to the race off 5 years ago.
