Swc Event 1 King's Lynn 26/07/14

On the flipside, Belle Vue with its long straights and tight bends, has produced some of the best Speedway I've seen this year.

It's not always about the shape, but more about finding the appropriate track preparation for that track.

That's just my opinion, though.

Its the easiest thing in the world to blame the track, like you say Belle Vue provides good racing and so does Wolverhampton.. I seen some wonderful meetings at EESG but I've seen some crap ones as well. It's not all about the shape.

Go look at the kind of racing that 'circular' tracks like Somerset, Peterborough, Plymouth, Scunny, Mildenhall, Sheffield, some Swedish tracks etc can produce. Probably not a good idea to dismiss the idea of altering Lynn's dimensions completely out of hand. Especially if bikes are going to become faster and more powerful still, which I'd say is inevitable.

My first thoughts would be the bikes need to be CHEAPER and therefore slower, this could create closer racing......

You beat me to it this proves nothing as lots of people take photos of the victory parade. I was on the back straight and I didn't see any red lights so how Mark Lemon did from in the pits I don't know. Again if it did happen why was there no announcement over the pa to warn people not to use them.

Was not really noticeable til it got darker...........I was sat practically next to the pits and could see it so I am sure Mark Lemon did............

RP

PS @ OveFundinFan...........yes Covatti and Wells were caught out by it too..........

The tracks named are mostly PL where I think sides are more balanced and should give better racing. And the strength of the Swedish league also should give better racing. What could tell us a bit about the NA is to get a couple of Swedish teams,Lynn And Poole to have a four team tournament around it :D

this was my exact point, before rosco started having ago at the "doubters" on this forum..i prdicted 4pts from stead with king being out of his depth. i stated this way before i saw the line ups..having seen kings lynn match, the italians were no hopers, a one man american side and holder missing from australia..come this world final with proper squads, my point is proved..
