Bash
Ward should be banned for the rest of the world cup with his actions on the night. When he broke down in heat 11 he walked across the track and stood by the pit gate still on the track as the race was still going on. Then in heat 18 parking his bike on the home straight and getting the race stopped because he lost his dummy on bend 4. Two times putting himself and his fellow riders at risk by his actions. He needs to grow up big time and stop being a petulant little brat. Not a good example when he is supposed to be the team captain.

ColinMills
hands up, i was wrong..well done gb and rosco..i thought king and stead would be out of depth, and i know opponents were under strength, but that said, gb did great job in reaching the wc final..again, i dont see us doing much, but id happily be proved wrong again!!
Bash
lol what a load of tripe Are you defending his actions then as he is an ex King's Lynn rider. He needs to grow up and facing a punishment for his actions might make him. Edited July 27, 2014 by Bash

Gavan
You won't hear anything from Starmsn and the cronies who claimed nobody could do better than Middlo. As we all said its not just the pool of riders it's how you get the best out if them. Last year we at Lynn we had Cook and Kennett who don't go well there. This year a proper manager picks the correct riders and knows how to get the best out of them. Nobody can tell me Stead and King have improved in the last 12 months just we now have a boss who knows what he is doing, lets be honest Starman isn't a true gb fan as hasn't commented on any thread

INCOGNITO
Great result for Team GB and Team USA and what a turn out Have to say though that while the track is good it didn't offer much in different racing lines and most passes was when a rider made a mistake Edited July 27, 2014 by INCOGNITO
Bagpuss
Woodward was a total disaster - would've thought Morris or Graczjonek or Watt would've been a better choice Easy to say that in hindsight, Watt I'd possibly agree with but Woodward is usually decent at Lynn and may have gone on to have a good night had he not had clutch trouble while leading his first race. Woodward was a decent enough choice, there wasn't to many complaints before last nights meeting, sadly for Woodward he had a nightmare. For Thursdays Play-Off there will be at least one change with Holder coming in, its likely that Woodward will be the rider to make way.
Barry The Cat
Shame our Captain couldn't bring himself to wave the Union Jack like the rest of his team mates on the parade truck! Fair play to Rosco, Stead's inclusion was justified
foreverblue
Most fans would have picked cook last year, kennett maybe not and most would have had misgivings about stead this year but he rode above himself and his gating was very impressive and he wasnt available last year through injury. Bagpuss
You dont need hindsight to realise watt is a far better rider than woodward Better on his day perhaps but not far better, only just returning from injury and has been poor on his last few visits to Lynn. On another day Woodward could have scored well, just wasn't his night.
foreverblue
Well what a cracking result for the boys! Special praise must go to Rosco. Knew how to pick a decent side i.e the best 4 available and more importantly knew how to motivate them and get them up for it. What a difference 12 months makes from having Old mother hen Muddlo picking poor riders and a complete lack of motivation. Can't see Starman and the other Poole fans on here who said NOBODY could do any better with the pool of riders we have! Erm wrong! We are on the final and with Middlo we couldn't beat the yanks or Latvia! People moaning bout the track need to understand in a lot of races there was only 2 riders who could win it therefore you weren't going to get class racing. Have the final at Lynn with 4 top sides and the racing would be better. Darcy tonight made me realise that he is still the brat he always had been absolutly pathetic! Needs to look at Holder and Tai and there attitudeIf rosco had been manager last year he would have picked cook, stead was injured anyway, the mistake middlo made was picking kennett. We had quite a bit of luck last night too, batch falling, darcy bike problems, woodward awful. The track was for me the best in the country years ago but not the same anymore, not just talking about last night, over the last few years it has deterioted, no idea why but the racing isnt as good Edited July 27, 2014 by foreverblue
g13webb
Contrary to the majority on here, I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting last night and was well pleased with the spectacle than was put on. Remembering it was being beamed all over Europe, I thought the people who worked to put the show on did a wonderful job. Went early, but couldn't believe the queues when we arrived at 4.30. They were nearly into St Germans. It seemed everyone had a similar idea. There were no hassle. we got a good vantage point and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the banter. The weather was good, the crowd was boisterous and the racing was fast and furious. The track consistence and safe. People on here have moaned about the racing, but to me it was OK. When you have big meetings with big riders, on fast bikes, you don't see many classic races . 2, 3, possibly 5 if your lucky. These class of riders don't make many mistakes The racing was fast, close and exciting, but the noise and atmosphere made it even better. I always raved about the Wembley finals, but then there were only a few races that was memorable. the rest were boring strung out affairs from the gate. It was the occasion that made it better than it was. So when looking back to last night . I was well pleased I made the effort to attend, unlike some who could be bothered. To all those who worked hard to make last night possible , I say well done . It showed the world , we can organise and promote a decent meeting with a big crowd. England winning was the icing on the cake.
