Wolverhampton 2015

Recommended Posts

It is unlikely any significant team changes will take place this season as there is not the riders available to make the team suddenly unbeatable and the fact is that most are doing what was expected of them in ways.

Freddie may not be scoring like he used to but that is the case too with Kenneth Bjerre and others under the format being used and while he may be the rider that isn't doing what was expected, you still see him as a bargain on an average going under seven points.

PK started like a youngster as a second string but as a heat leader he is finding it difficult to score now. He was signed as a second string and has increased his average but that is getting below seven soon.

Ricky has possibly been the best of the team so far but most of this was as a second string and since becoming a heat leader he has had a few poor meetings but at Monmore he is still doing well.

Jacob like Ricky and PK has struggled as the third heat leader and now is doing well at number two and his average is moving back towards his starting average of 6.25 week by week.

As for Tobiasz Musielak he has struggled in every league he is riding in but bit by bit he is getting there and he has the potential to be a strong asset in the future and finishing the season at number four could see him finish strong.

At the end of the day you can't say they are not performing but simply put in a position that was not suited to their strengths of being second strings asked to perform like superstars.

It is unlikely that they will reach the play offs this season so they may just let them ride for a place in 2016 but only in the right position if this format stays

We have just about beat Poole at home and then got thrashed at Wimborne Road and it is still a puzzle why Wolves didn't go for Paul Starke in the draft.

Bates has shown a few glimpses of potential but Starke showed how much he knows Monmore Green and is averaging a point more than the British U21 Champion.

AVERAGES at August 1st

7.04 Peter Karlsson

6.59 Ricky Wells

6.48 Fredrik Lindgren

5.26 Jacob Thorssell

4.60 Tobiasz Musielak

29.97 -

That set of figures looks as sad as the team looked on track last night. And I don't mean that as having a go at Wolves - its just sad.

those figures are ok if you are looking at a set of second strings. the fact that 3 of those are for heat leaders is just plain embarassing

You should be Wolves PR manager, your post makes it sound like they've had a decent season.

Patryk Dudek will be riding again at the beginning of August-if I were the Wolves management I would be busting a gut to sign him.

Never seemed bothered before to ride here, unless he wants more racing to make up. Let's face it any chances of change and riders wanting to come over need to be considered as there us nothing left for this season already.

Consider signing a rider who was banned for actually riding whilst drugged (as opposed to being stopped before he rode)??? Absolutely disgusting thinking! Whatever next? Why isn't there a 400 page thread on this issue?:D:shock:

I appreciate the smileys and the wind up but not really any difference is there unless you think Ward would have withdrawn from the meeting of his own volition if he hadn't been tested. Presumably as you think it's disgusting thinking of signing Dudek and there is no real difference between him and Ward, you will be against his return to Poole next year. Edited by Aces51

It was meant to be a bit of a joke and very tongue in cheek - a bit like whoever suggested Wolves might be in for Dudek!!!

Hang on a minute old bean !! suggesting Dudek was a very serious suggestion-he will be champing at the bit to get riding again and would be a good acquisition for any team.
