BWitcher
As an outsider I can see the complacency point. I used to love Wolves coming to Lakeside, you always got an entertaining meeting whatever the result, but as we all saw last week it was a shadow of the old Wolves. I used to put it Wolves fighting style down to Peter Adams who I always thought was a good team manager, but maybe Wolfsbane is right, maybe Adams has indeed reached his sell by date. Peter Adams confuses me to be honest. He is, without doubt, a very intelligent guy and is very well respected within the sport and has had success working both with teams and individuals. Yet at times he seems to make such basic errors and doesn't think outside the box at all. Then again very few speedway managers do. I often refer back to the Wolves/Birmingham play off meeting a couple of seasons ago. Wolves had Nicolai Klindt guesting at reserve. Used correctly Wolves could and almost certainly would have made the final, despite way below par scores from Iversen and Cook guesting for Woffinden. Over the previous 3 seasons at Monmore Green Klindt had averaged 8.50 from gates 3 and 4.. 4.00 from Gates 1 and 2. He was riding at reserve. EVERY single one of his rides should have been from gate 3 and 4. His reserve partner at the time was Ludvig Lindgren who actually was better from the inside gate! Of course, nothing was done, they weren't swapped round at all. Klindt won 2 heats from the outside gates, posted 2 lasts from the inside gates to further emphasise the point. Of course I am The complacency word has popped up in the last few posts and it is very relevant to CVS & Adams. It's utter stupidity to expect to win the EL every year, all that this armchair supporter asks for is a competitive team that is still in with a squeak comes September. It's not rocket science but does cost money and since the fee for Woffinden every expense seems to have been spared.

A ORLOV
Play offs? What are they? A competition at the end of the season between the top clubs that sky run which they arrange for Poole to win each year
Phil The Ace
Surely that can't be true! How are we going to fit in both him and Tai. Have u not heard. He's a reserve for us next year.
FAST GATER
Who really cares about the play off's except Sky they mean nothing ,Iwould rather have another 3yrs of s/way guranteed than win a meaningless end of season comp

superguest
Not surprised by this result. But i wouldnt want to see any of the current 1-7 dropped. Hope Jacob does well for Boro. However, next season we need to lower the level so its one big league. Wolves are a heatleader short of a team, and Swindon & Lakeside have had to use guests and r/r all season as they cant secure a fit number 1. Leicester have also struggled. Why not move the draft riders up on 3 or 4 pt averages and then take 2 points off the top 5. Will be better than guessing whos gonna be riding for you. superguest
Freddie was fantastic in Sweden tonight Hes had some mares in Sweden this season though. Hes lost his consistency. Something to work on. Cant believe any Wolves fans would critisize him though. He will work it out. Let's not bother keeping score, it means nothing. Scrap league tables. Those two changes will see the fans flocking in. In fact, do away with teams, you don't seem to like that either.. after all they're irrelevant if we're not going to keep score or bother with trying to win anything. Imo the quality of the racing is the most important thing close racing and score lines, last heat deciders that is what I want from the sport and i ask again what difference winning the league will achieve double or even triple the amount of fans through the gates ? I think not !

I think not ! Actually yes, it pretty much does just that. For a play off final, it would quadruple the fans through the gate.
