Wolfsbane
You could pay £18 at other tracks and not see any passing all night while at Monmore you get to see RACING !! There was indeed some great racing last season by all accounts. How did Wolves do in the play offs? Like it or not, the main driver of whether folks will stump up the cash these days is WINNING. Sports history is littered with attractive losers.

I agree, but 7 of the 8 teams won't be crowned champions and of those 7 how many get to see Racing ........ about 3 or 4 maybe

Not so long ago we used to build a team to win the title and if we got beat in the play offs, so be it, you can't win them all. Not even CVS & Adams can believe the 2015 team has been built to win the title, so they're aiming for less for the increased entrance money, a sure recipe for trouble. None of us want to see Wolves in bother but the gates will undoubtedly fall away again without a team that looks to be in with a fighting chance of making the play offs despite the racing the track surface delivers. greyhoundp
As i understood it their was work done over the close season, due to their being a recent distinct LACK of passing around Monmore, it matters NOT how attractive the racing is people WONT pay hard earned cash to watch an unsuccesful Team. We will see who is right, but Wolves are due a good season, I cant see it happening, the reserve selection was a big mistake, when Josh Bates won the Under 21s their was only one line around Monmore that night, make the gate and ride a tight line, and it suited Josh. Yes he is a fine prospect but its NOW that Wolves need the points.

It was noticeable last monday that the crowd level and lack of noise created really showed how excited fans are for the season. £18 a week is far too much but I appreciate its not cheap running a speedway team.
