Wolverhampton 2015

Recommended Posts

TNT no way will woffy be back at wolves next year or any other track even if its one day a week or not that's FACT, keep this post if you think I'm wrong........

Then why did he say on SKY in the Poole match that he would be back on a low average. NOBODY knows what is happening next year. So nothing is FACT at this stage.

Thorssell is fairly obvious, but not Pawlicki. Cant put up with his half soaked attitude again.

Pawlicki is a must. The best thing of our season.

I keep seeing this talk of Berntzon linking with Wolverhampton next year. Is this just wishful thinking, or is there any truth in it?

I quoted the link 2 weeks ago. He has already confirmed in an interview in Speedway star he wanted to come to Wolves this year and he has agreed a deal to come to Wolves next year.

I can't see EL going one day next season it would not work for all tracks who most if not all have to rent tracks of greyhound stadiums

Love that top 5. :t:

So do I PK got 17 from 7 starts in Sweden last week ,maybe the change of team was just what the doctor ordered :D including three wins in his last three rides did not run out of steam in that match .When you ride a bike with like he can it's so little effort that's why he has lasted so long ,he makes it look so easy .

The season is all but over and unless there are big changes made to the Elite League I think 2015 would be a fitting swan song for PK to lead a Swedish based team of Thorssell, Bernzton and Aspgren with whoever fits in ..... hopefully Woffy, Pawlicki or another Swede in Fredrik Lindgren

As for TSC saying Tai will NOT be back here or anywhere in Britain next season, until you can give a source then I will give you my view on the matter.

Tai along with others, especially GP riders NEED to only ride one day a week here and SKY want that to be a Monday. With riders now given the oppourtunity to ride in the GP's and SEC next season, it would mean they are unavailable most weeks for the weekends inc Fridays.

Tai wants to be back at Wolves next season and put his 2014 form behind him. He admits he has put himself in the situation with riding here, Poland, Sweden and the GP's but as World Champion he wants to ride as much as possible but travelling back and forth to England is possibly the most tiring.

If it was just Mondays here, he would set off on a Thursday evening to whatever GP or SEC he was riding in, then onto Poland for Sunday, Wolves on Monday and Sweden on Tuesday leaving Wednesday and part of Thursday as relax and training time at home. Without that there is no spare time and he and others are just getting burnt out.

So I can tell TSC that he WANTS to ride here and at Wolves next season but until changes are made, he and others will just have to see but he knows that starting on such a low average will benefit the team next season ..... given the chance

Oh yes, my source ...... a few people that should know including Tai Woffinden himself.

In today,s Express & Star Tai says he wants promoters to have two No 1s so they can share the workload from 32 meetings to 16 each. Also revealing he is still struggling to cope with his exhausting schedule but which he thought he could handle.

No mention of him wanting a fixed day of racing for the Elite league.

CHATTING to Tai en route to Riga last Thursday I think he has realised that a fixed night in the UK is impossible but it remains top of his wish list!

According to Piotr's brother Shamek, he is not happy at Wolves, mainly because of the Monday racing!!!!

His playing to the crowd and body language says a very different story.

At least one of the Pawlicki brothers is moving his EL career forward riding on a Monday night. :approve:

I see the management have forgiven his `sickness` Monday night. No mention of the meeting he missed at Leicester.

Unlike most they clearly believe the sick note is real, but then i guess Polish doctors will write anything to keep him in Poland.

.........'Piotr will be racing at Monmore on Monday against Eastbourne and our away fixture at Swindon later that week'.......

Whoopy doo. Speedway rider rides in speedway meetings *shock*

They must do think we're stupid.

Hopefully this little saga can be forgotten now, as Pawlicki not being around on Monday almost certainly resulted in a drop in the crowd - I know people on Monday who didn't realise until they were inside that he was missing, and that wouldn't have bothered if they'd known. Although I guess as we were unbeaten from his rides then it was irelevant towards the match itself, its not acceptable when the home team can't track a full strength team.

Most of you will guess that I'm not a Piotr Pawlicki fan, I never have been and nothing about his time at Wolves has changed my mind. However, I will retract the remark I made on Monday about "utterly detesting" him. I do detest the fact that a rider who signed for us has missed several meetings and weakened a side that has struggled for various reasons anyway, but obviously I don't detest him personally, as I don't even know the guy, so I'm happy to withdraw that.

Good post mb. I 'liked' your original post as I took it to mean what I felt, and still feel, I utterly detest the way he has dumped on Wolves speedway and the fans who got behind him.

We were warned about him and his absences by Cov fans but still fell for it. Where I differ is I would have him back in a flash but only with a copper bottomed guarantee of availability. If, as many suggest, he's under serious pressure back home from his paymasters then he just needs to be honest and turn down the UK.

Strange that we never had a problem with Sqora, I wonder why?

Not even his stunning form??

Good point but i think the answer is a simple one. We all know the Poles try to protect there prized assets and don't want them worn out and potentially injured riding in England. Nothing will change my mind these recent absences are `illness` related, just pressure from his Polish club.

I can actually forgive him his U21 commitments because there is a good chance he will be crowned U21 World Champion this year. We were lenient with Tai at the end of last season when his injuries meant he pulled out of his league commitments to secure glory so i think its a little unfair on Piotr we penalise him for doing the same thing.

As for Adam - well he has never been one that the Poles bothered about did they? Even when he won the National Championship he wasn't elevated to the higher echelons of Polish top dogs.

Its a tricky one taking on one of the top or best new young Poles and we always know there might be issues.

Personally speaking besides the ones he had missed previously i was delighted with him and had been a highlight of our dismal season - along with Jacob.
