Wolverhampton 2015

Recommended Posts

After the part Peter Adams played in Larsen and Sundstroms changed average in 2011 I hope they bring in a rule that Berntzon has to come in on a 8. I base this on Piotr Pawlicki averaging 8 this season, thus all new riders should be an 8. Obviously.

Unless Coventry want to bring in someone new then its 4.

IMO PK has no intentions of retirement because it would appear that he is struggling with machinery but he himself looks comfortable on the bike just lacks speed at times .A rider of his age and experience would ( and will know) when it is purely down to him or his age,no one can go on forever( he is not sliding off all the time like Sudden Sam was in the end) but IMO he is riding well just something is missing at times.A good rider on a bad bike has no chance in modern s/way as it is all about power which ever track they are riding .Speedway is all about confidence and state of mind and if you are not happy with your setup etc then even PK is going to struggle as we have seen.I believe he will be back for at least 2015 and maybe beyound who knows ?

Lots of references being made to Sam Ermolenko..

He averaged 7.7 in his final season for Wolves in 2004, riding as a heat leader in a much tougher league that it is now.

As for 'sliding off'... he was doing that when he was at his peak :)

Of course, he was nowhere near as good as he was, but still better than most. He never fell as low as riders like Havelock/Screen did or even Les Collins if you go back that far.

I don't see it as a shame when riders carry on racing after their peak, if they are enjoying it and can still do a job for their team, good on them. It will be a sad day when PK does stop racing, just as it was when Sam did (although he still has the odd spin now!)

Could not agree more with what you say would love PK to race for as long as he can ,I was and am great S/Sam fan and believe that only the catalogue of injuries catching up with him ended his career .

Sam was a great team rider team ride with most riders some thing that seems lacking these days .

Jan Steachmann, Saddlebow Road, directing traffic, 19**, no idea :D

Sam took the pi$$ out of, I believe, Richard Knight.

Think the only two riders you can be confident of seeing in Wolves colours next year at this moment in time is Jacob Thorssell and Oliver Bernzton with hopefully Piotr Pawlicki. If the league doesn't switch to one night and Freddie misses out of the GP's in 2015 then I wouldn't be suprised to see him back next season

Back to the topic of wolves 2015 if Pawlicki will do another full season then I would build around him maybe PK if he wants to carry on as captain and Thorssell with a few new faces for the rest of the team .And before every one start you cant leave Woffy out I think he would be better off missing British speedway for a season to do the GP's

If they were interested in doing a season over here what starting averages would Eduard Krcmar and Oliver Bernzton be given if the Elite league stays in its present format.?

If Milik at Poole this season is the benchmark then 4.00. Whether that is fair is open to debate. What can't happen is Poole get a rider on a 4.00 one season then when another club wants to track other riders of similar ability/experience the following year they are saddled with 7.00/8.00.

I keep seeing this talk of Berntzon linking with Wolverhampton next year. Is this just wishful thinking, or is there any truth in it?

Source?[/quote. Just read between the lines, apart from that please tell me what woffy has done for wolves speedway this season?

Obviously you are new'ish' to the forum, welcome by the way. If you'd been following my posts you'd have noticed that I had ripped Woffinden a new one on numerous occasions this season so I won't bother answering your question :D

With regard to 'reading between the lines'. you'll find you're better off not claiming stuff as fact unless you're prepared to supply the source. Until then it's just speculation on your part I'm afraid.

Should it happen, personally it wouldn't bother me in the slightest, no one is bigger than the club.

TNT no way will woffy be back at wolves next year or any other track even if its one day a week or not that's FACT, keep this post if you think I'm wrong........

You may turn out to be right, however, even if you are, it doesn't make this post a fact. It's your opinion at this stage.

Thorssell is fairly obvious, but not Pawlicki. Cant put up with his half soaked attitude again.
