Wolverhampton 2015

Good old "British" Tai, taking his toys away cos uk speedway didn't jump to his tune.

Go back home to Oz

Other Brits have done the same in previous years e.g Scott Nicholls

Just ignore the fact that most other GP riders are saying exactly the same and have voted with their feet shall will.

We should be doing all that we can to entice all the big boys back AND keep our BRITISH WORLD CHAMP on these shores.

His `home` is Scunthorpe by birth. :t:

And Crumpy's home by birth is Bristol and is an Aussie through and through!

If it stays at 32 for the top five and there has to be a British rider in the main body then how about

7.58 Scott Nichols

6.25 Jacob Thorssell

6.22 Rory Schlein

6.21 Craig Cook

6.00 Oliver Berntzon

Res Paul Starke

FTR Morris or Perry

All can score points and you won't get many last places which in turn means you won't lose many meetings home or away.

Rory Schlein may be available as they look to be going for a powerful top two of Bjerre and a 9 point rider !!!

What a shocking looking team. I can't see fans being excited by that team as British Speedway continues it's decline into oblivion. I wouldn't get out of bed to watch that team let alone pay £17 for the privilege!

I would love to see Wolves start the season with Freddie and Tai but it looks unlikley and I don't blame Tai one little bit for missing the next season as he can see by past results that the riders that perform the best don't ride here anymore.

World Champion Greg Hancock

World number two Krzysztof Kasprzak

World number three Nicki Pedersen

World number six Andreas Jonsson

World number seven Chris Holder

World number eight Jarek Hampel

Add to these Bartosz Zmarzlik, Tomasz Gollob, Adrian Meidzinski and many more who these days have so many meetings it doesn't fit in riding in a league that has fixtures spread across various race nights meaning more time spent in airports and on the road.

While he was pleased to hand over the title to Greg last month, I know deep down that really hurt and in 2015 he is determined to do all he can in getting that title back and that means leading a more settled race schedule like Greg, KK and the rest.

So next season Wolves need to find a new number one or go for a more settled and balanced line up. Much will depend on the race format that was unbalanced last season but I think the more sensible way is for a balanced line up.

Would not wont Nichols as a number 1 past his best and I don't rate Cook may as well keep Pk if your going down that rout

If the likes of Woffinden Iversen Janowski Holder Kildemand etc are not going to be riding here next season a rider like Scott Nicholls will be one of the highest averaging riders next season and in 2014 he improved his average where as most other heat leaders went down.

Fredrik Lindgren will be the key rider as to how the team lines up as he would be the main rider in the league once more if he decided to return to Britain but will it be with Wolverhampton ?

Jason Doyle could be the rider that safes the day as Leicesters race night won't help him being in the grand prix series but will he be required at Swindon to replace Kildemand ?

Will Hans Andersen be wanted back at Coventry or will he be on the move again and Wolves is one of the few teams he has yet to start with

All speculation until the annual party is over and the bar tab is paid

It wasn't that long ago that Scott Nicholls quit the EL. Peter Collins did it too back in the day. I guess they were only "British" too? Tai has to do what is best for his career. He doesn't owe British Speedway anything and British Speedway doesn't owe him anything.

If draft reserves go to parent clubs and the lowest pick first, Wolves would get to pick from Garrity, Blackbird, Auty and Birks from the Grade 1 picks (may be wrong)

If we could get Blackbird and Paul Starke at reverse then I would be happy but how do we fill 34 points if Freddie doesn't return ?

8.94 Frederik Lindgren

7.03 Tai Woffinden

6.25 Jacob Thorssell

6.00 Oliver Berntzon

5.78 ---------

Res Lewis Blackbird

Res Paul Starke

Kenneth Hansen 5.50, Ty Proctor 5.37, Nicolai Klindt 5.16 or Lasse Bjerre 4.67 ?

If Berntzon was 5.00 then it could be Daniel King or Davey Watt !!

How does the choice for Grade 2 draft riders work.Is it Leicester having first pick ?.

Leicester will get first pick of group A but last in group B

So if that means Poole get last pick for finishing top,and they will obviously choose their own rider(Newman)they get first pick of the Grade B riders.

So,in theory they will get the best rider(possibly)in the first group, and then the top of the pile out of the second.

Dont sound right (but what do i know).

No. If Newman is the highest graded rider then Poole will get last pick in the 2nd draft.

If Paul Starke is in Grade 2 then I would go for the lowest grade A reserve in order to get him. ........ that could be Roynon or Birks but what would happen if Poole owned the best riders in both Grades ?

Maybe it would have been a good idea to give them all an assessed average from 4 and 3.5 in Grade A and 3 or below down to 2.0 for Grade B and this is given allowance for the top five so a team with a 4.0 and a 3.0 reserve has 32 for the top five and a team with weaker reserves has upto 344

If the pick system is anything like last years, tracks firstly get to name an asset in the list. So if Kyle Newman and Steve Worrall are in the list of Grade A crafts then Poole get to name Newman and Belle Vue get to name Worrall with the rest up for grabs.

Leicester by not having an asset in the list gets to pick first from the list that should still include Garrity and Blackbird with the next lowest team then picking and so on.

Once the first picks are done then the team with the lowest ranked Grade A rider picks first in the Grade B pot and so on so Poole should have Newman dominating and the last pick in the Grade B pot.

The only change to the order in the second pick is a team may be allowed to pick an asset as long as they didnt do so in the first pick.
