Wolverhampton 2015

Can see your point but I think people would flock to see these riders in a one off meeting.

But this was/is always an individual meeting where club fans can go to support their top boys, bring the stay aways in by all means but not if u need to pay them more than the boys loyal to the league? They won't race for the pay that is supposedly on offer for this anyways!

Lets go for it and bring back Max as well as PK Im sure they both fit its going to be a long season again.

I really do despair at the intelligence of speedway fans at times.

So, the whinging Wolves fans are

Happy to sign a rider on 6.25 achieved riding primarily as a second string in easy races.

Moaning about signing a rider on a 6.12?? average riding primarily as a heat leader (No 1 at start of season) in very hard races.

Go figure.

Not necessarily, if its an early season fixture like last year was meant to be then some of the name mentioned would come as they crave pre-GP practice before Sweden and Poland get going and probably wouldn't want a fortune to do it. Also I think it's more to do with the schedule than the money why many top riders don't work over here.

For a moment there I thought I'd stumbled on Poole's Gracjzonek/Milik v Watt argument!! :D

I'm only talking money re that meeting. They can crave all they like, let the guys who put themselves out to race here have the practice, perk of the job 😊

Davey Watt has averaged 7.71, 8.06 and 7.46 leading upto the 2014 season which used a much more difficult format for heat leaders and he averaged 6.71.However Ford has also signed Dakota North on 6.57 after a year as a second string !! .... Considering others that went down like Kildemand, Woffinden, Zagar etc then I wouldn't say Watt is on a modest average but about right. However Davey Watt does have great team skills and vast experience and on his day can be a big scorer so it was no surprise he has gone back to Poole after two years away.

Peter Karlsson has had better times but he struggled with his set ups and the format and while 6.12 may look generous, it may just be a more realistic figure for a rider that could be facing heat leaders every race once his average starts to go up or others fall.

There is nothing wrong with PK and all reasoning behind him coming back are valid but when you look at the team in general and how others are lining up, you have to question if Freddie will get enough backing, will too much pressure be on Tobiasz and Jacob starting as heat leaders and if Freddie has an off night how much of a battering are we in for ?

Yes it helps when you have riders on false averages but most of all the balance has to be right and having Freddie as a lone heat leader doesn't bode well and in not getting Tai or Piotr to return, then Wolves seriously need a more prolific point scorer to back him up. Would even consider Shamek Pawlicki 6.75 who despite injuries still scored well and as a heat leader. That would then leave enough for Richie Worrall 5.53 to sign up and it is very rare Wolves don't have one English rider in the main body of the team.

2 Danish riders to finish the main body of the team

1 Fredrik Lindgren

2 LASSE BJERRE

3 Tobiasz Musielak

4 Jacob Thorssell

5 BJARNE PEDERSEN

6 Josh Bates

7 Lewis Blackbird

Apparently their was another team talking to Bjarne but he has turned them down as he has a better offer. Could that be Wolves ?

Lasse will please a few as he was very popular and certainly better than his average suggests.

Are we sinking that low???

Thought Bjarne wasn't coming back this season?

Maybe his contracts abroad haven't worked out and he has changed his mind.

Sorry, id prefer PK and Ricky.

This team now depends entirely on the new Pole being a hot shot. The rest will more or less score to their average but if he drops two points (as we expect riding at no 3) then we are gonna struggle home and away. Edited by superguest

Constant reference to Lasse Bjerre being 'better than his average' etc.

He will be racing against far better reserves this season, the no 6's are all strong riders, with even the no 7's being of a higher standard.

In addition the second strings are of a higher standard this season.

Of all the teams signings so far, he is arguably the weakest second string of all.
