Wolverhampton 2015

Recommended Posts

With Belle Vue signing Simon Stead it means Craig Cook or Richie Worrall won't be back for the Aces.

Pawlicki and Worrall would be a very good line up and only one doubling up rider while Cook signing would mean only one out and out heat leader.

Apparently they have said both were not looked at, but has that changed or was it just to keep you guessing as to the possible signings.

CVS has usually had a British rider in the team and he has seen both go well at Monmore Green in the British Final and other meetings.

Neither will be an improvement imo.

How about Miedinski? He apparently wants a full season over here.

Not sure Monmore would suit his style.

Is this all tongue in cheek that Hancock might be back in the UK,now that hes left Tarnow.

Adrian Meidzinski 8.21 and Lasse Bjerre 4.66 would not fit into the points limit but I can't see him being a rider Wolves would think about any way.

Greg Hancock said he had an interesting call from Colin Pratt and now people think he is about to join Swindon as he is no longer at Tarnow in Poland. Well 2+2 in some eyes makes five and I'm sure there are other Polish teams that would be willing to have the World Champion in their line up.

Emil Sayfutdinov is also rumoured to be close to signing for Swindon or Poole which is possibly more likely than Greg as Emil isn't in the GP's and if either was to start for a British team it would be great for British Speedway ......... But even better if either joined Wolves instead !!!

Think Greg is wise enough in his maturing years to realise Billy Hamill did the right thing and eventually followed his dream and seeing the errors of his ways and should be riding for Wolves. Add Kasper Gomolski 3.90 and you have the team sorted (if only)

Would love to see Greg Hancock in the Wolves team before he retires but I can't see him agreeing to ride over here and will surely get fixed up in Poland somewhere.

If however he did ride here instead of Poland then Swindon on a Thursday may be a better option so he has a day in between meetings. Riding for Wolves however would see him ride here then back home to Sweden straight after until the next week.

Anyway while we can dream about The Grin riding hwre, Wolves are planning on Piotr Pawlicki coming back but it won't be as cheap as last season now he is World Under 21 Champion.

8.94 Fredrik Lindgren

7.32 Piotr Pawlicki ?

6.25 Jacob Thorssell

6.00 Tobiasz Musielak

5.49 left ?

FTR Lewis Blackbird

FTR Josh Bates

Timo Lahti full time or Lasse Bjerre doubling up ?

Leicester are saying Szymon Wozniak is coming in on a 5 average so does that not mean Musielak should come on a 5 as well giving us a extra point to play with.

Am I right in saying Wozniak rode in the Polish 2nd division last season and Musielak rode in the 1st division? That might be the difference.

8.21. ! Cant see many teams taking Meidzinski on that average.

Probably struggle to average 7 around Monmore.

Maybe Leicester might take a gamble on him if it reaches the desperation stage.

If Wolves are to start next season with just Frederik Lindgren as the lone big hitter, they could line up with four six plus riders like Grajczoneck, Thorssell, Karlsson and Musielak.

However it is more likely they would want a second heat leader to back up Lindgren, but there isn't that many riders with an average over seven left to sign apart from those that have indicated they are not interested in riding in Britain.

Kildemand, Bjerre and Janowski plus Bjarne and Tai have said they are not riding here next season leaving just one rider from those that competed in the 2014 Elite LeagueLeague with a seven plus average. Piotr Pawlicki.

So unless Wolves surprise everyone with Hancock or Sayfutdinov it looks like it has to be Pawlicki (or Woffinden) or the six point set of four riders.

So let's hope its a double Leszno signing very soon.

I seriously hope we do add a 2nd heat leader as not keen on the strength in depth option.

Pawlicki with the right organisation over here would end up being the no 1 at Wolves.

He already was this season (on 2014 averages).

No is questioning his ability.

It really is nothing to do with organisation either. He was fine until the last 3rd of the season.

Then the demands of his U21 commitments and Polish club saw his commitment level to Wolves and the EL fall by the wayside.

On his starting average for me he would be a no brainer. However that said, the same issues will be there for 2015.

As the best U21 Polish kid his demands from Poland will be huge and only increase. So it would be another gamble on a rider turning up for all the meetings.

This is something British Speedway. and Wolves fans wont tolerate.

Better to have him for a few meeting's than none i believe, certainly now without Tai its going to be tough for a few clubs Swindon included to assemble a really strong team. Edited by sidney

I detest riders picking meetings and him missing meetings could cost us a place in the PO`s. Unless its the odd 1 or 2 I think most can live with that. Its just the `i`m too sick to ride in the UK on a Monday but am well enough for Poland on Sunday and Sweden on Tuesday` that grinds most of us down.
