Arson fire
Any idea what Danny's new average will be? I'm guessing maybe around the 10.00 mark?8.80ish I think
ruffdiamond
I asked George tonight and, apparently, Kingy is on a converted average (rather than an assessed average), so his 'proper' average will come into effect on August 1st. Had he been on an assessed average (like a new Dane, Swede, Pole or whatever that would come in on a 7.00), it would have taken effect after the Sheffield match. Hope that clears that one up!! Best wishes to Lewi Kerr on a speedy recovery. like crystal,,, well,,, at least we get to use 'the can't Cook, won't Cook' chappie on Thursday, as Aaron must be busy elsewhere :-(,,, oh yeah :-)

ruffdiamond
I was waiting for the interval as I was tweeting updates, but the interval never came. By the time heat 12 arrived I was desperate, but by then they'd sold out of chips!! As for the meeting, pretty much as I expected and remembered from a previous visit. One line around the inside, move off the line, or try to go wide around the bends and you were buggered. How else could a gating tart like most riders score a bucket load of points? That track could do with some banking, then it may provide some entertainment. Just pleased to get away with everyone in one piece. now now,,, talking about gating,,, and a couple of punctures,,, the starting gate area looked to be a little bit rougher than usual, a few times it resembled riders crossing a cattle grid,,, could there be a link ???,,, just a thought :-)

If average is converted why didn't it then start to be amended every month once meetings had been ridden, rules to me imply the starting point of 4 home & 4 away only apply to assessed averages? Rules state assessed average for riders transferring between leagues, when does this apply and when do you get a converted average?? Looks like another make it up as you go along job! Finally - just to state not having a go at King or Newcastle at all, just bemused by the way our sport chooses to interpret it's own rules All the Best - Mr Baffled of North Yorks -

Again let me stress I am not suggesting Newcastle, their promotion or Danny King have done anything wrong or tried to "use the system"

CaptainAudi
8.80ish I think I thought it would be more than that, but I suppose he had a tough average to keep up on new tracks to him. Good starting average for him for you next season, I must admit.

montie
That track could do with some banking, then it may provide some entertainment. Just pleased to get away with everyone in one piece. if you added banking the riders would end up in either Hull or Aberdeen ,depending which end they came off at! Don't think William Hill would allow it, due to the Dog track
