Penny Cross
Sorry, but they have all been refunded and are no longer valid. We had trouble using ours earlier this season. The Devils management cancelled the agreement. Not impressed doesn't cover it.
Shadders
Was made aware of a Groupon voucher offer for £7 entry to Newcastle v Rye House next Sunday. Initially tempted, as I'm gonna be ther anyway, but what if the meeting is rained off, bearing in mind I'll be very unlikey to attend the restaging. oldswindonsupporter
Thanks to Penny Cross and Former Devil for the information - I shall be contacting Groupon forthwith, shame Groupon didn't contact the buyers of these as they obviously know the buyers! Not a good PR move by the promotion though especially for those who turn up expecting them to be honoured. Did the promotion put a new item on the web site to the same effect? If not, why not? Thks A

ancient mariner
I have sent you a PM which I hope explains this appalling PR gaff. Including, I trust, the manner in which the vouchers were allegedly being abused? Edited July 24, 2014 by ancient mariner

Former devil
Including, I trust, the manner in which the vouchers were allegedly being abused? If the promotion had looked into groupon schemes before they jumped in without fully understanding what they were getting into people wouldnt have been able to abuse it. They should have had a list with the voucher codes that had been purchased. These should have been ticked off once they had been presented. Perhaps a separate table could have been set up for groupon customers to prevent hold ups at the booths. If this was followed the abuse would have been prevented. Its hardly rocket science is it? Also the idea of marketing is surely to attract new customers who have not been to speedway before, bit silly of the person running the devils twitter page to advertise the groupon on there. Many regulars would not have been aware of it had it not been publicised on there. That was financial suicide as the regulars who would have paid full price were encouraged to buy a groupon enabling them to get in for half price!!

You're absolutely right, but the promotion can hardly be blamed for attempting to promote, can they? I have no doubt that the promotion is much wiser now. It is as it ever was - people are offered an inch and try to take a yard
