Arch Stanton
I haven't bothered for the last few home meetings either Baldy and I won't be there tomorrow either. Don't think Louis has done himself any favours with his constant public comments that he has no intention of changing the team. We're under the points limit and have scope to strengthen to try and squeeze in to the play offs, but it seems a fair few of the fans are not the only ones who seem to have lost their enthusiasm. A new face would probably have changed my mind and I'd have made the effort to go. I agree TBH and I know plenty who share that view. CL is the promoter and it's his call obviously, but that decision is now costing him money as the attendances for the last few meetings have been shocking. MrMungo
I thought Louis jnr was the "Director of Speedway" or something similar?
EnglishRoundabout
Well for the first time in i don't know how many years, through my own choice , I'm not going. And I'm not sure I will be back this season either. I shall see how I feel about Ipswich speedway week by week. Surely the threat of Todd Kurtz coming back to haunt you hasn't put you off Baldy? All speedway clubs rely on the die hard fans, but this one has had enough.
2ndbendbeerhut
Well for the first time in i don't know how many years, through my own choice , I'm not going. Its the time when people like yourself (speedway lemmings) start to give it a miss, that promotions need to sit up and take notice. Speedway is currently only really attacting these sorts of fans(me included) and its when we pick and choose something must be seriously wrong! You must have been to over 75% of ALL Witches matches this year, so its not as though you are a fair weather fan. However as fans have been told before by the promotion "if you don't like it, don't turn up" Looks like you doing just that! Interesting to see how the attendence is effected next week as its the World Cup race off..... Super Blue
Unfortunately the only ones that would be truly happy about Louis saying there will be no changes are the 7 riders ! That's 7 happy compared with the hundreds of unhappy fans who are the ones who ultimately pay the salaries . Whilst loyalty is highly commendable surely it is commercial suicide not to keep the punters happy ?

MrMungo
Unfortunately the only ones that would be truly happy about Louis saying there will be no changes are the 7 riders !And the families, the mechanics, the girlfriends/wives, and presumably Mr Louis aswell, and so on! There are too many changes in the sport. Unless a side is really, really struggling, I really don't see a great need for changes. You win as a team, you lose as a team. If it's not working for someone, you identify the reasons and work with them to cure the issues whatever they are. That's surely what being part of a team is all about? Not just cast someone aside after 1 or 2 iffy results.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I admit Ive swayed both ways in terms of would I favour a change or not. Generally Ive come down in favour of no change. This team is good enough to challenge at the sharp end of the season. Lets stick with it and see where it ends up. Quite often the title via a play off goes to a team that has made a change following a poor start which I have thought of as a hollow victory (I dont expect the fans of those teams will agree!!) The best may still be to come from our team. Lets hope so but as the cliche goes what ever will be will be. Up the Witches.

I reckon they will come good. (Even though it pains me to say so!)

Sorry but I have to disagree , in any job on the planet ( not just speedway ) if an employee consistently underperforms they will be warned and if it continues they will be dismissed . Without doubt at least 2 of the Witches riders come into this category and in my opinion ought to accept the consequences , however they seem to have a very patient promoter in their corner . Whilst I say again that this loyalty is admirable I know I wouldn't have a job anymore if I had continually been as bad . Back to the meeting now , it's a beautiful day and I really do hope the team pulls together and comes up with a good win to send all the fans home happy ! dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Impressive from Charles Wright - entered bend 3 done a anticlockwise 360 followed by a clockwise 360 and stayed on. Deserved a point for artistic impression!
