Super Blue
After last week's shocker of a draw against Glasgow how do we all think we will fare in this encounter? Having already beaten them twice this season, once very easily one would like to think we can do it again but after our latest performance I'm not so sure. Opinions please? Cliffeboy
I would imagine you will face a very different Somerset this time. In the first match we lost by 12, but Josh only came up with 6 from 4 starts as a guest which was disappointing to say the least. Pontus is back and he registered 14 last time, but missed the embarrassing cup defeat. If our boys have their gating boots on could be a goodun. RebelRebel
Would love for the boys to get at least a point from this one, especially after Glasgow managed a draw on their visit, but can only see an easy win for the Witches. Rebel boys just don't seem to like Ipswich at all. 15-20 point win for the Witches.
TheScotsman
I think this will be a big revenge mission for Somerset. Can certainly see them picking up the 4 points.

Baldyman
Luckily for Ipswich, Somerset have Todd Kurtz, probably one of the worst visiting riders ever to foxhall, normally half a lap behind at least., but now I've said that, he will probably score a hat full. The last time Somerset visited, they really struggled with the very grippy track, so you would like the think it will be prepared like that again, but will it? Since no change has been announced to our line up, no surprises there, I hope that both Cameron and Adam have had some track time somewhere to work on these starting, and the rest of the team have re read the rules about waiting for the tapes to go up before letting the clutch out fully. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
It seems very unlikely there will be changes and Im not particularly disappointed if there isnt. Lets hope that the team repays the faith shown in them. So long as I see and feel that they are all giving 100% thats fine by me. So far Ive not felt that any have let me down in that respect (aside from Rohans admission early doors) So onwards and hopefully upwards for the Witches! I'll go for a solid 50-40 home win. Gavan
I think we can win this one. According to Jonny Adam was gating really well at Wolves and showed some sparkle and hopefully Cam's heat 14 win last week gives him a boost and some confidence. Surely Rohan and Gino cant have as poor as meetings last week. Witches by 10 but looking forward to Worrall and Morris as apparantly there was an altercation at Belle Vue on Monday
Baldyman
Win or lose, I don't suppose it really matters, as long as the racing is good. I think i have just finally worked out that it's about entertainment.
Falcon Hammer
After watching Adam at Wolves last night, he looked much more confident than the last few weeks - Will score a hatful for the Witches this Thursday

I am sure Todd needs no more motivation after he reads this post. Moreover, he's in fine form at the moment.
Baldyman
Let's hope he doesn't need any more motivation, it would be nice to see him mixing it up against our riders, cos that's what we pay our money to watch. I certainly don't get any pleasure watching a rider trundling round at the back way behind anyone and then giving after after a few laps. So come on Todd, let's see what you can really do and make me eat my words, cos that's what we want to see. TheScotsman
Fishing rod's away now. But I genuinely expect to see Somerset come out on top of this one. So much so that I might even trundle over and give my few quid to Mr Louis so that I can see it with my own eyes.
Super Blue
If the Witches perform in the same way as they did against Glasgow they will lose! Half the team were shocking, if those riders get their backsides in gear then they should win. Personally I'm hoping it's the latter. Baldyman
Well for the first time in i don't know how many years, through my own choice , I'm not going. And I'm not sure I will be back this season either. I shall see how I feel about Ipswich speedway week by week.

Baldyman
Exactly, and I'm deciding to spend my entertainment money doing something else this week.

No doubt these kind of feelings are brought about by the promotions apathy towards strengthening the team and lack of ambition to be successful ! Obviously the season ticket holders will continue to attend but im sure more and more of the weekly payers will think twice before parting with their hard earned to watch the kind of garbage served up last week ! The overall attendances are usually up slightly with the kids go free during the school hols but there seems to be fewer and fewer week on week ! I will be there but for how much longer , who knows ? I haven't bothered for the last few home meetings either Baldy and I won't be there tomorrow either. Don't think Louis has done himself any favours with his constant public comments that he has no intention of changing the team. We're under the points limit and have scope to strengthen to try and squeeze in to the play offs, but it seems a fair few of the fans are not the only ones who seem to have lost their enthusiasm. A new face would probably have changed my mind and I'd have made the effort to go. Edited July 23, 2014 by CardinalSin
