Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 23/7/2014

Recommended Posts

Pawlicki showed improvement last night with 10 points, Schlein not so good so hopefully those scores repeat themselves tonight.

If only it was that simple. Track conditions, Opposition, State of mind, all come into play. Every match is different and should be judged on it's own merits'

There is far more pressure on Poole tonight than Lynn, in that Poole are expected to win at home. As long as Lynn put up a reasonable fight and are in contention they can be relatively happy. Obviously a point would be good but it's not that important.

Forgetting the fact we won last time, but thinking back to the meeting, we were always in contention and there were never many points in it. Some may feel we were fortunate to come away with all the points, bearing in mind Darcy nearly lost it on the first corner. so if we are as close tonight, coming into Ht 15 that'll do me and be very happy to go away with a point.

We use to go to meetings like this and except we had no chance. That's all different now, so win lose or draw, we go with optimistic thoughts........ and that's got to be good...

It is a genuine rehearsal for the future presuming we meet in the play offs as both teams have there full line up and a good close match in prospect, hope we get all 3 points but just to win would be a decent result. Darcy is riding superbly at the moment but Neils is a terrific rider and will give him plenty to think about, i believe Poole have the edge with their top 5 but KL have the best reserve in the league.

Play-off rehearsal? Nah Poole will probably have 2 or 3 different riders by then :wink:

play off rehearsal? Poole have to make it first lol

Lynn wlll choose either Lakeside or Eastbouren leaving Poole facing a tough task against Coventry

I hope King's Lynn pick Eastbourne, so Trees can go and see her buddy Bob again! ;)

Glad to see Pawlicki up and walking okay,,

Was amusing to see Middlo slowly breaking into a trot for about a yard and then realising it was all a big mistake.. :D

One of the best camera angles from Bet365 @ Poole...

Didnt seem much contact when Pawlicki fell in my book

My own team are riding and I'm finding it a bit of a snooze fest so far

Agreed, another total 'snooze fest' as you put it - the norm from Wimborne Road these days...

First to bend one wins (99/100)..very very poor...

Mind you Swindon isn't much better, the only excitement is usually provided by all the ruts, bumps and potholes..

But that at least can be quite interesting in the 'who will fall off next' kind of way..

So classy of Middleditch to have a pee at the back of the pits! Don't they have loos in Poole?

Last time I was there, there was a rider getting changed there aswell!

Appears the changing rooms, which is a ridiculous long way away, is too far to walk for some too.

Well done ref good decision there. Niels rightly excluded.

Looked like Milik was leaning all over Iversen to me. Iversen rode mid track and Milik came down to him rather than Iversen running wide. Harsh call

Good call by the ref in heat 15. My gut instinct was that Iversen had to go there. A lot of ref's would have chickened out of a decision there and brought all 4 back, but Big Dave is not one of those refs! Seen him make a few decisions like that now.

The Pawlicki decision was less impressive!
