Dust heat one----fail.

I can understand many of the frustrations after today - but are you seriously having a go at the staff for the track being a bit dusty in heat one today? If so, that takes the biscuit in terms of moaning for the sake of moaning.

As i said in an earlier post i left after Ht 13 today as i really couldn't stomach Wolbert anymore it is a complete P1ss take off astronomical proportions and you can bet your bottom Dollar he will end up back at the Dump and be a 9pt rider once again i have no doubt about that and in light off today's final straw on Herr P1ss take we have decided to give Berwick a miss next week a place we alway's enjoy going nice drive & Really nice & friendly fan's but we will not fork out the best part off £100 to watch a so called No1 poottle round at the back ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Wolbert will get a max at Berwick, for every rubbish meeting there is a good one.

Colin Hamilton must have the most poisoned chalice in British speedway. The club doesn't make money, has to re-schedule numerous rain off meetings on an alternate race night which will run at a loss, needs an underperforming No1 replaced against a backdrop of falling crowds after another home defeat.

Oh dear not this old toffee again.

There were three ppl employed at the start gate in that fateful GP. Did she grab the checkered flag or did someone pass it to her? Have any actually any clue regarding the facts of the event?

never let the facts get in the way of a funny story Edited by Goodiepatchie

Dust heat one----fail.

being serious for a mo, we had a forecast for heavy intermittant rain. I spoke to one of those responsible for the track beforehand and trust me he was gutted he couldnt prepare the track the way he wanted. However with the forecast, if he HAD soaked the track (and prevented the early dust), the track would never have stood up to the rain.

Damned if you do.....damned if you dont

You would probably get around 100 -1 on sky bet on that happening :nono: .

The thing is and this isn't a go at Edinburgh but i wouldn't even consider signing another Asset from the east as it is my opinion that there averages are over-inflated due to the massive home track advantage they have and when they go elsewhere in general there average dips and in the case off Wolbert nose dives.

I can understand you being upset with Wolbert but this is garbage. Wolbert hasn't been at Edinburgh since 2011 and has held his own in the Elite League subsequently. In 2011, his home average was 9.62 and his away average 8.48, ie he was good everywhere.

I think most Edinburgh fans wish you would not sign our riders, it is better to keep distinct identities within the clubs as far as possible. And that isn't having a go at Glasgow.

So explain why the Monarchs generally are decent visitors at most tracks.

Maybe regularly riding Armadale every week develops a rider to be able to perform better at away circuits ;)

He has also dropped more than a point from his starting average so yes his average is inflated in my opinion .

F.Y.I. Wolbert's initial 2014 PL GSA of 8.40 was based on converting his 2013 Belle Vue GSA of 5.04.

BTW he left Monarchs at the end of 2011 with a GSA of 8.61.

Agree it would be better for both parties to part company now, but to infer that he is deliberately lowering his average to pave the way for a return to Edinburgh is typical Possilpark Paranoia.

Upset is an understatement and in what way is it garbage in my opnion his average for next season will be attractive to his parent club to warrant a return and i also think that he will get close to his 8.5 average, if the shoe was on the other foot The Edinburgh promotion would have got shot long ago that is the difference our promotion have persevered with him and now it is way past a joke and after watching that performance today it was pretty embarrassing to be honest

I don't detect that anyone believes Wolbert is deliberately lowering his average, just that Edinburgh will more than likely be the benefactor of his appalling season at Glasgow. I doubt his average will even be 7.5 now, a steal for Edinburgh next season SHOULD they decide to recall him.

Because you generally compile very good teams winning teams then gather momentum & confidience and having a high scoring No 1 also help's.

On Wolberts GSA it really makes no difference 8.4 or 8.6 based on this season alone he is close on dropping 3 points on that starting average i don't think it is deliberate average manipulation for a return next season he has just been garbage for us most weeks and should have been replaced long ago.

But let's be honest here he would be on a very attractive average for a return next season with being so woefully poor for us this season.

You are not saying the same thing now though. This post is fair enough (though I don't think Wolbert is a strong candidate to return to Armadale). Your previous post suggested that Edinburgh riders only have a high average because of "massive home track advantage", and when they leave their average declines. That doesn't stand up to scrutiny. One of the many statistics I keep is the average home and away scores for each team, the difference being a measure of home track advantage, and Edinburgh are NEVER high in that table. Their figures tend to show average or even below average home track advantage.

The big ones used to be Exeter or the Isle of Wight. This year the biggest at the moment are Somerset, Rye House and Scunthorpe. If you don't believe me I'll bore you with a mass of detail going back many years.

I wasn't having a pop at Edinburgh and there is nothing wrong with having a home track advantage sometimes Stat's don't show the true picture though but i tend to think that more often than not there average will decline after riding Armadale which is a technical track and the very few defeats they suffer at home is in my opinion a combination off a strong home advantage & year after year good teams assembled.

I n regards to Wolbert we know he rides Armadale well and is much better than what he has done for us this season so it would be folly not to consider him on what will be a low starting average for next season one thing for sure he won't be anywhere near Ashfield next season except as an opposition rider we have had our fill off him.

We need to find a spot for Smokin Joe yet so Agent Kevin may have to wait a bit longer unless he can get his average to around the 5 mark!!

Does Joe get a reduction next year if he is out for this season?

Will Wolbert be at Berwick.

Of course he will, Glasgow have had 2 months to sack him and haven't. I don't doubt they have tried to source a replacement however he's in for the duration.

As for Henry let's go with r/r, no point in a repeat of yesterday.

it's hard to figure the Wolbert situation everybody knows he is a decent rider at PL level,I'm wondering if he just has junk machinery that is kept in Glasgow for him and his best bikes are elsewhere. There are are few others that I think keep there best bikes for the continent,or maybe the foreign clubs are the owners of their bikes.
