Wolfsbane
Where to start eh? # Last week we were told that we would be looking at changes during the world cup break. # Apparently tonight is a 'must win'. So we are going into our 'must win' match without any team changes Unless Fricke for Proctor was planned in advance, surely not? By all accounts though it will be a 'bumper crowd'. Obviously swelled by the party celebrating Bert & Edna's 50th wedding anniversary. CVS & Adams. Yesterday's men who strike paydirt once in a blue moon (Piotr) but refuse to realise that the speedway world has moved on. s You're not fooling anyone but yourselves Edited July 21, 2014 by Wolfsbane

Whilst agreeing with much of that I don't agree that 'the speedway world has moved on'. It's stayed right where it's always been, about 1975. The 'world' has moved on though. In terms of the 'speedway world' the Wolves promotion is still one of the best. That's not a claim to fame though.... That's what I meant The Wolves promotion used to be THE best. Now they're just marking time, hoping folks will roll up on Monday nights and flash the cash.

magnificentseven
The Wolves promotion used to be the best in the league but it appears no longer so. I had an interesting twitter exchange over the weekend with a rider that the promotion made a big song and dance over trying to sign, and claimed we very narrowly missed out. In the rider's words he claims the reason he chose another club to Wolves was down to the people involved and in his words a signing for Wolves was never going to happen for that reason. A sad indictment indeed. Wolfie

The Voice Of Reason
Tom Perry is in positive mood ahead of Wolves' crucial clash with Lakeside tonight and says he is ready for what will be a tough test.Is Tom in 'a positive mood' for his 'tough test' because, as he said last week (pre-Cov appearance) he's 'going to be giving it 100'%? He really is becoming a real little king of the clichés isn't he. Tatum and Pearson must know that their days are numbered; and with you as his PA, who can blame them! R87
Amazing comments in the programme tonight to say "other sports are struggling as well" Sums up speedway to a tee. Rather than acknowledge you've got it all wrong, just say others have it bad too
BWitcher
Wolves clearly weakened without Proctor tonight.
LagutaRacingFan
Wolves season is over. If today was a GP, No doubt Tai would be riding.

Wolfsbane
Must win was it Adams? Try this for size. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
Crazy robin
A night where a rider guests for a play off rival to his team & comes up with a score that just looks so dodgy.
BWitcher
A night where a rider guests for a play off rival to his team & comes up with a score that just looks so dodgy. Eh? He was riding against a play off rival! Surely you didn't consider Wolves a play off rival? Seriously? Seems Harris wrecked his best bike in Heat 1, prob the one set up for Monmore. Like Tai last week, it doesn't take much in this format to have a stinker of a night. Fell trying to pass in his 2nd.. A poor performance though granted. Must win was it Adams? Try this for size. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. Let me know if he makes any comments at the end of the match, apparently it was too 'tense' too be interviewed during the meet.

Mjolnir
Brilliant win for the Hammers! Such a shame that Bech didn't get off the line in heat 15, we could have pushed for all 4 points - although I'm definitely happy with 3. Good to see Adam having a good meeting - hopefully that will give him a bit of a boost. Disappointing from Bomber - did that first fall leave him feeling a bit second hand?
Bagpuss
I think Nilsson's paid nine tipped the balance.
