topaz325
Tough one tonight if it goes ahead, weather clear and warm at the moment but the forecast is for heavy rain all day and night.

womble53
its an easier decision to make when you have a few riders missing...............but on the strength of a forecast is getting dafter and of course is open to abuse. meetings should not be allowed to be cancelled by home promotions on the prediction of a forecast. Think Somerset used the weather as their Get of Jail free card here, ........... Agree with Arson Fire here, its all too easy to call off a meeting on the strength of a possible rain off, especially when the hosts are missing two key riders. In view of your previous extremely well aired views on the subject of postponements on the back of adverse weather forecasts, I would welcome your thoughts on tonight's postponement due according to the Comets Official website to an adverse weather forecast. Personally I don't have a problem with it, but I seem to recall you two may have done

Lord Lucan
Another one to add to the list, could be a big issue for us this in trying to qualify for the top six, cut off is the 12th Sept if I remember rightly so will have to hope we can get enough pts on the board to get through before then, very few spare Saturday's for us, if any, too choose from now? topgun
Well another rain off I think we used this to get out of jail the way things have been going another defeat could have been on the cards. When are we going to stand up and fight like a team and want to win something before its to late .

When are we going to stand up and fight like a team and want to win something before its to late . While wearing my conspiracy theory hat I'd like to think that our performances this season are deliberately designed with the end of season play offs in mind? Do just enough to get through then, short season, 6 matches all out assault, home and away showing people what we can "really" do and then, walk off with the PL/Play off title!!!! That's what keeps me going!! Edited July 19, 2014 by Lord Lucan
Arson fire
I do have a problem with calling meetings off because of forecast rather than actual weather??.... What point are you making?? jenga
are you in the pub or on the home brew.. with a lot of meetings to rearrange. looks like we will be a bit down the pecking order to get our double up riders fitted into the rearranged fixtures. so we could be in trouble when it crops up, looks like the weather forcasters got it correct.all we are missing are the lightning bolts., Edited July 19, 2014 by jenga
Lord Lucan
After a cloudy start it's wall to wall sunshine up here tomorrow afternoon thru the evening, with a 7.30pm start, well after the Rugby's done, would it not have been possible to offer Somerset the Sunday as an alternative, for sure they could say "no thank's" but it could have saved the weekend and gotten rid of another fixture?
