Tom Turner
ok so your point is? my opinion is Cook has reached his level Care to explain your opinion? I am sure you have plenty of well balanced and reasoned arguments as to why you firmly believe he has reached his level.
Gavan
Care to explain your opinion? I am sure you have plenty of well balanced and reasoned arguments as to why you firmly believe he has reached his level. jesus! why do i need to have a reason as to why i think he has? its called an opinion! At premier level he is dominant no question. At elite league level has his performances got any better? I would say no and yes i realise he is riding at number 5 but by now you would like to think he would be beating the other number 5's - Janowski, Harris, Pawlicki, Michelsen, Bech, to mane a few. He came 2nd in the British final 2 places better than last year but no Nicholls in the final and got past Barker due to a mistake. He did nothing at Cardif to show that he could be close to gp level. And at World Cup level he made the top 4 this year and hasnt this time. So i believe his career has stalled a bit and he hasnt made the next step forward. If he is going to get any better he needs to leave the comforts of the Premier and try abroad. Funny how he hasnt been approached by Poland or Sweden? Its nothing against Cook but i dont see him getting any better than he is now. I dont have to justify my opinion. If thats the case then could you please put forward how you think he will be in the gp's anytime soon?
gary moore
Think Panthers may just sneak this one... Have to say it isn't speedway shooting itself in the foot here, it's Bjerre not giving two hoots about the UK team that pays his wages... Bit like his bro then? Crump99
You should be thanking Alex Harkess now. Would have lost if the changes had gone through! The way Edinburg rode I doubt that we would have lost. However, what's Harkess got to do with it? Much like 3 three points returned incorrectly to our 6 fingered neighbours last season, either the rules allow or they do not. Blacksmith
Got to love a fan like you who cant actually debate and discuss opinions if they differ, you just resort to pathetic responses Pots, and kettles spring to mind.More comedy gold

An opinion is usually formed because certain things or patterns in behaviour have made you think that way. However when you voice an opinion that you cannot provide a reason for your opinons lose all credibility and you end up looking like an idiot to the logical masses So to answer your question, you don't need to have a reason for your opinion, but it does help give your thoughts and opinions some credibility and garner respect from the community. Personally, in my opinion, I don't believe that is any reason whatsoever to suggest he has reached his peak. Many riders have the odd season or two off, especially when they are relatively new (in terms of mastering a sport) to the scene. I believe Tai Woffiden was at one point near awful after showing a lot of promise early on and definitely took several steps backwards, but look where we are now? You cannot hone your skills without learning from failure.

The Stones Facts dont make opinions! And i did actually give my reasons why i dont think Cook will improve. You are correct what you say about Tai. Even Mark Loram didnt really get any better until the 1999 season. If you think my opinion that Cook wont improve anymore makes me look an idiot to the masses then im afraid you have a very blinkered view on all matters. If Cook averages like a number one in the elite league and quits Edinburgh and looks like one day he may make the gp's then i will admit i was wrong. you also use the phrase 'logical masses' so in your head the sensible people will think Cook will improve more and those that dont agree with you are idiots! pretty daft reasoning

Still got my smug face due to our achievement, maybe lost to the better team on the day, but it was still a wonderful achievement. Record sells are entirely incomparable in their very nature to the performance and advancement of a sports person. Duh. And no, you clearly didn't read my post properly. I said stating an opinion without backing it up with any logic makes you come across an impulsive idiot, not your unfounded doubt in Craig Cook's ability to improve any further in his career. I didn't say Cook would improve either, but as usual Gavan always know's best.
bigcatdiary
Bit like his bro then? To be fair to Lasse it's only his size that's similar. Lasse isn't noted for his trapping, can pass very well and isn't a pushover in tight races. Must be honest I think he is doing a great job but as others have said when sorting out his travel for Saturdays WU21 Final we didn't have Edinburgh the next day. That said I still think flights could have sorted out if all parties wanted it badly enough, Clearly they didn't.

Cook may or may not improve. Nobody knows but to just simply disregard my opinion because i dont have any facts is blinkered. You cant have facts about something that may or may not happen. Its like these people who argue over wether Darcy will or will not be world champion one day. You dont know! we can only form an opinion Noooooo it must be the Beatles every time (In my opinion I may add) P.S. proud panther
Can't believe anybody can have any complaints about Lasse. He gives 100% every race, & has upped his average. He has ridden with a number of injuries as well, so I would never question his commitment to Panthers.

BluPanther
Cook has actually had offers from abroad but rejected them as he feel he is not financially ready to make that move yet. At the age of 27 he needs to do it soon, but i'm not convinced he ever will. Some folk are just happy to be big fish in little ponds...
