Chris Schramm Quits

Chris Schramm has retired from speedway with immediate effect.

 

The Diamonds have announced that Simon Nielsen will come in as his replacement.

 

Good luck to Chris in the future and thanks for your efforts whilst riding for the Diamonds.

Shame for Schrammy enjoy watching him ride but probably for the best to concentrate on his health good luck with whatever he does in the future.

Happy with Nielsen signing could be for him to ride a track he is are cabable of scoring points at every week just like what happened with Mills. Also good for team makes us stronger at home which is main priority with the season Diamonds have had,

The guy is a hell of a trier on track and a true character off it too. A loss to the sport for sure, but as already said his health post ret. and in later years have to have been the deciding factor. Everyone knew that the time he has lost, with his 'hard as nails' approach had to point to a serious medical problem. Plus points to him also for standing aside and allowing Newcastle to move on too.

Never forget his time at Newport when he was signed as a second string yet done the buisness with phil morris in heat 15 to get us out of trouble think it was the year we had rajkowski.
