spanner47
Theo Pijper deliberately staying down at Rye House in the KOC match when we were on a 5-1 in heat 13, (Wolbert won the rerun) probably cost us the tie. What comes around..... Gino didn't deliberately stay down, he was getting up but Mr Steele put the red light on far too early. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Gino didn't deliberately stay down, he was getting up but Mr Steele put the red light on far too early.I think he had no option but to stop it even if Gino was clearing the track as he had hit the airfence. The ref cannot take the risk as to whether it has been damaged and therefore potentially unsafe.
Bash
Gino didn't crash on purpose either, I think his engine blew going into the turn which caused him to fall. Strange decision to exclude Gino when Wolbert wiped him out for the second time as probably worst contact than when Tony Steele called all four back the first time. Tapes weren't being held especially long just think wind was blowing them slightly causing riders to jump. How many times in a rerun does the result always go the other way, heat 14 for Glasgow, Heat 8 for Ipswich. Hope Christian is okay and is just only a concussion. Congrats to Glasgow on their first away points of the year. Â Back to the Ipswich team you can see where the meeting was lost. Numbers 6 & 7, Glasgow had two reserves who haven't got a great record at Ipswich, but put in a great performance to totally out perform our two. We are 1.72 below the team limit and if we replaced one of the reserves with up to a 6.2 - 6.5 rider we could get Ritchie back to reserve which would make us stronger. After this month we might have more points to play with.
Gavan
Gino's engine did blow and ref had no option but to put red lights on as air fence had moved. Â As i said on the pairs thread. Wolbert went wide and Gino ended up in the second bend fence first time round. Unlike the pairs Tony Steele saw sense and put all 4 back. In the re run 3 riders got there together and Gino went down the exclusion was wrong. Â We were lucky to get a point. Â Wolbert being a tad hard on Worrall in heat 1 and getting excluded. Thomsen messing up bend 4 last lap letting Gino through. Henry and Harrison excluded for tape touching. (yes so were Tungate and Gino but Gino passed both) Henry crashing while in a scoring position. Glasgow on a 5-1 in heat 14. Gino falls , Cam wins re run. Â All we had was one bad decision (Gino's) Â The reserves are costing us big time Edited July 18, 2014 by Gavan
Paulco
I never suggested for a minute that Gino stayed down , it's just frustrating when a match winning 5-1 becomes a 3-3 , but that's speedway .
george.m
your still p!sh Being p!sh can be addressed by the transfer market. Being smug is in the genes and it's in your system for life.

Al Stewart
your still p!sh I appreciate this is just for 'banter' purposes, something I truly can't be bothered with (unless it's actually funny) but the truth is that it is surprising it has taken Glasgow so long to get a good result. Thomsen and Lykke Nielsen have given them a much better side this year, added to their experienced top end. Having a 5-point guest reserve is handy too and hopefully when he returns Berge will resume where he left off. Wolbert might be turning the corner too. Â I think calling Glasgow 'pish' is a dangerous move if you want to get the better of the banter.

Bash
Wolbert might be turning the corner too. Â Â Well he wasn't when he rode through Richie Worrall in heat 1 and twice through Gino Manzares in heat 5.
seanmuffe
Isn't that what the EL fast track was supposed to help with? Â Just love your sense of humour
Gavan
Â Well he wasn't when he rode through Richie Worrall in heat 1 and twice through Gino Manzares in heat 5. im an ipswich fan and yes he rode through Worrall in heat one and was rightly excluded. Â However in heat 5 both times 3 riders got there together Wolbert did nothing wrong, Gino had nowhere to go and slid off twice. Nobody should have been excluded at all in either running
MD
Wolbert might be turning the corner too. Or maybe not, standard inconsistency resumed at Plymouth!

MD
Can't be good for team morale. Three points from Wolbert tonight would have got us a league point. Frustrating after last night.
