SCB
Any rider who doesnt feel he is in th eright state (physically or mentally) should not be riding a speedway bike - regardless of what a few people on the internet say. Its dangerous enough when you're 100% with it!
stevebrum
If he is suffering from exhaustion then he wil need to rethink his schedule for next year. Maybe he can do his charity stuff during the close season because its clear the events around Cardiff have taken it out of him. What an admirable thing to do to raise awareness of such a worthy cause. But that alone needs a huge thought process if it messes up his `bread and butter` racing.
clambo71
Is Woffinden on start money in the UK like a lot of No 1s in Europe and I've heard some in this country. Could low points scoring be an exit strategy that doesn't hit him in his pocket.

People who saw him Monday night said he looked like crap.
SCB
So why did he ride in Sweden? People who saw him Monday night said he looked like crap. Agreed. That for me is the issue. Not that hes taking time out but the fact he rode in Sweden.
Wolfsbane
It would have taken more than Woffinden to turn that shower into winners tonight
stevebrum
As expected, another rubbish performance from a side intent on scraping at the bottom for the wooden spoon.
mikebv
some very good racing tonight.... BV quite rightly used to get called for having a poor racetrack, however the last couple of seasons it has delivered some great racing... Having seen a lot of elite matches live and on 365 this year there hasnt been many better (if any) tracks delivering the high standard of racing BV has... Never thought I would say that... Can't disagree with any of that Mike Tonight was a fantastic meeting. Wolves deserve credit as the score don't reflect the effort there boys put in. Pawlicki junior is some rider. Didn't score much but was always in the action and a few hard but fair moves stopped him scoring more
Steve0
As expected, another rubbish performance from a side intent on scraping at the bottom for the wooden spoon. The rest of us aren't surprised - last season they punched above their weight which is obvious this season.
ABS
Pawlicki Jnr worth more than 8pts. His two races with Zagar worth the admission money alone. Biggest surprise was the 7+1 from Lee at reserve and it was merited. Fewer Wolves fans than usual and it's fair to say that Tai cost our promotion a few bob tonight. SCB
Who Wolves?? You are kidding right??? The results speak for themselves. Your team is crap and Proctor is a massive let down this season. Frankly only Thorsell and Pawlicki have done anything while the rest have done worse than most expected - and some of us didn't expect much! The comment was about last season as `punching above our weight` or words to that effect. Without injuries we were possibly the best team so hardly a relevant comment. This season is a huge disappointment.
BWitcher
Agreed. That for me is the issue. Not that hes taking time out but the fact he rode in Sweden. He has to stop at some point. If he'd not rode in Sweden they'd be unhappy he could ride in Britain the night before. He honored his commitment to his 3 teams, which is something he deserves credit for, not slagging. The comment was about last season as `punching above our weight` or words to that effect. Without injuries we were possibly the best team so hardly a relevant comment. This season is a huge disappointment. So despite disagreeing you basically confirm what was said. Last season proctor performed at a level he never has before and has not done so since... Thus was punching above his weight.. Edited July 16, 2014 by BWitcher
waiheke1
In reality tai probably shouldn't have ridden three leagues this season given the additional burden of being world champ and associated commitments. With poland being the league with greatest earnings, and the swedish being the strongest league, Britain would have been the obvious one to drop. However, id suggest a sense of loyalty to both wolves and british speedway kept him here. Think people should accept that he may need to miss the odd meeting, and im not surprised he is exhsusted. I recalla comment from mike lee in 81 about how mauger used to be allowed by his club to miss thecodd meeting to prepare for big meetings, wheras kings lynn allowed him, as reigning british world champ no such leeway. If allowing tai some special dispensation keeps him racing in the el I think its worth it. Long term, to keep top riders in the el I still think an 8-10 team top league with set racenights and sidesracing esch side just home and away (plus a meaningful ko comp) is the way to go. El sides to have priority over pl riders for all matches, but the pl likely to be strebgthened by a number of good riders (I.e. el hl not riding on thr continent) available on all bar two nights of the week. semion
Michael Lee didn't need anyone's permission to miss meetings. He just didn't bother showing up

Without injuries we were possibly the best team so hardly a relevant comment. This season is a huge disappointment. The best team is the team that won the title in the end. In the play offs, Wolves were the weakest if the 4 teams and definitely the team to pick - as it proved. You look at your team the season before last and this season and they are on a par results wise. In between, the bulk of the same riders had a great run of form so yes - they did punch above their weight because those same riders are not scoring as well as they did last year.
