f-s-p
7-10 years ago the Adams-led Swindon were probably averaging around 1800-2000, now probably down to around 1400...1000 on a bad night and over 2000 on a good night. The top Swedish crowds are far higher than the EL, as the Eastie promoter was saying try to promote speedway in front of 700 at Eastbourne compared to over 3000 in Sweden and 15000 in Poland. How frequent REALLY do they get 15k in Poland? Story not so long ago how only a handful of people watching a meeting at Pitkos. At Poznan NIMBY'S are trying to block the return of the local track. All roses, yes... topsoil
I actually dont rate their league that high, I just dont. And their tracks (not stadia) are just crap most if the time, potato field seems to be the norm from my experience from reading news and watching videos. What I do rate though, quite high actually, is the micro- and minispeedway system and structure. That also gives them the possibility to track a large amount of Danish riders in their league, as about a half a dozen new riders step up yearly and move to the 500cc scene. Thats why they are so strong in the U21's as well. With a huge base of riders in mini and micro also makes for a substantial mass of volunteers for clubs (as in not uk style promotions) to do "stuff", like organize meetings. I actually dont have any knowledge of how their training sessions work, do you? Maybe TWK?? Agree with you that the facilities around the tracks are basic, but the fact that they are used for the sole purpose of speedway is a huge advantage over clubs in Britain who rent stadiums from landlords and have very limited access to not only tracks but are also denied the income from catering etc. The fact that they have time / facilities to run training sessions is something most clubs in Britain can only dream of.
heathen chemistry
Denmark have it run properly , it doesnt matter that they dont have million pound stadia, the proof is how successful they are and are going to be , with so many young riders coming through now ......
f-s-p
Denmark seem to be running a successful league system, the majority of riders are Danish, the attendance figures seem to be rising each year and clubs have purpose built stadiums, albeit basic, for the sole purpose of speedway, which allow them to run junior training sessions. Yes - they do. Ask Erik Gundersen who offered to train British youngsters but was never taken up on it. No surprise there then. So how do their training sessions really work then, when? where? I was kind of expecting clarification days ago...

Ghostwalker
i once did the olle nygren training school..would like to think its move on since those days...my claim to fame is Bo Brhel getting told to get off track whilst i was on! he shot past me on the back straight, felt awesome speed alongside! actually he still do it, although he have said that this year's edition was the last year. http://www.svt.se/nyheter/regionalt/ostnytt/varg-olles-speedwayskola-pa-sista-varvet Regarding the Danish league it's definitely on the rise but there is still allot of stuff that not works as good as desired. I.e.there seems to be allot of arguing before each season about which riders should be put in each category. All team managers obviously want to be able to field as strong team as possible and therefore want their riders to be in a lower category. Also all foreign riders are in the same category regardless of how good they are. Then there is the thing with the inconsistent rule regarding points in the Danish finals. In Denmark they have two individual finals each season and for the Event 1 final the points from the final heat is not counted towards the total score of both finals while the the opposite applies to the final heat of event 2. This also means that sometimes it is clear who is champion before the final heat of Event 2.
T.N.T.
Tracks own their stadiums and they dont have various race nights so don't have to pay for as many flights to pay for and they also have bigger sponsors.
