Ikaros Smederna – Piraterna

Ikaros Smederna (41)

  1. Peter Karlsson
  2. Oliver Berntzon
  3. Pawel Przedpelski
  4. Mikkel Michelsen Davey Watt.
  5. Kenni Larsen
  6. Grzegorz Zengota
  7. Magnus Zetterström

Piraterna (49)

  1. Bjarne Pedersen
  2. Matej Zagar
  3. Darcy Ward
  4. Linus Sundström
  5. Greg Hancock (K)
  6. Simon Gustafsson
  7. Fredrik Engman

I expect this to be a tight meeting, Piraterna have a stronger team on paper but they have not permed that well this year.

Chris Holder is still injured and Piraterna have decided to bring in Matej Zagar as a replacement until Holder is back.

Smederna have decided not to put Davey Watt in the team (a signing I don't understand the purpose of) and decides

to use the same riders as last week although Zetterström and Oliver "Vispen" Berntzon are the only two at Smederna

who rides at the same position. Imo Piraterna are favourite to win this with Zagar riding instead of Schelin but

I hope Kenni's, PK's and Zengi's loss of form two weeks ago was just temporary.

Smederna (and Piraterna) need to win to move further up into safe grounds to avoid being involved in the fight to avoid relegation

and to get a firmer grip on a place in the play offs. Smederna needs to win with 9p to get the aggregated bonus point.

Västervik – Elit Vetlanda

Västervik

  1. Krzysztof Kasprzak
  2. Tomasz Jedrzejak
  3. Przemyslaw Pawlicki
  4. Hans Andersen
  5. Peter Ljung (K)
  6. Mathias Thörnblom
  7. Ludvig Lindgren

Elit Vetlanda

  1. Tai Woffinden
  2. Bartosz Zmarzlik
  3. Jaroslaw Hampel
  4. Tomas H Jonasson
  5. Emil Sayfutdinov
  6. Magnus Karlsson
  7. Jacob Thorssell

Västervik have been mediocre all season except at their home meeting against Vargarna which Västervik won.

Västervik looked like they were heading towards 3p last week but they collapsed in the final heats of the meeting and

their opponents Dackarna could steal 1+1p.

Vetlanda on the other hand have been unstoppable for the majority of the season.

This week Janusz Kolodziej have asked to not be picked so Bartosz Zmarzlik is back in the lineup

and need to show that he wish to remain there over Kolodziej.

Like last week Västervik is in a do or die situation so they need to win but since this is part of round 7,

there is no aggregated bonus to win from this meeting.

No Michelsen tomorrow so I can't see how Smederna are going to win this.

We really ought to go down on our knees and say a "thank you" for air fences. If it had been a wooden fence we might have been making arrangements to go to his funeral. Fantastic to see him chatting to team mates in the pits later on in the meeting. :t::t::t: All the best. Alan.

racecard for tonight.

Can't see anything but an away win. Hope I am wrong and we get a better match than that tripe last night :)

Anyone know how Greg is doing?

Yes the lad was lucky there it's one frightening speedway track even the home riders can't ride.

And the less said about their idiot team manager the better :)

As a supporter of Smederna for a few years now from the very basic Allsvenskan streams,(when some Thursdays it seemed like there was Racers and Royals and yours truly in the whole wide world and for the sake of our "numero uno" correspondent "Ghostwalker" I say "Go Smederna" but .... very much heart over head. Regards. Alan.

Who is this "Chepelski" riding in place of Prezedpelski ? ;)

Nice to see such a good crowd.

I think it's how you pronounce it mate.

Think of Przemyslaw Pawlicki is called Shemek (sic) so the prz must have a 'sh' sound.

Never noticed it that way on Polish matches though.

We need your buddy Pawel to keep us right :)

I live and learn. :t: Perhaps his UK agent Mr 10% Racers and Royals could enlighten us.
