If It's Riga surely they have to change the rule regarding hosts straight to the final. Latvia in the final? It showed last year putting the Czechs through to the final it didn't work.

Hope the rule is changed yes, but if it isn't I don't think the Latvians would be out of the running at all.

I would disagree, Kings Lynn and UK in general have had a semi-final for many years now. It would be about time that the UK did not have a round at all.

They would be crazy to not have a round in the UK, we constantly have big crowds for these events unlike other nations who supposedly have a bigger fan base. The meeting on Saturday was the biggest crowd I've seen for a SWC at King's Lynn.

well with an average crowd tonight at Vastervik compared to the massive crowd for the size of stadium at Kings Lynn on Saturday can't see the race off and Final returning any time soon to Sweden .

I never said that it should, only that Team Gb should not be given the advantage of riding at their home track every year and

that semi-finals and race-offs should be moved around/alternated from year to year.

as for race-off & final, we had it two years ago so it's natural that it we won't have it for the nearest couple of years.

Perhaps something like this;

2015: Riga

2016: UK

2017: DK

2018: Wouldn't mind a RO/F in Germany.

Obviously the seeding of the host should be removed.

As for the crowd tonight, Västervik team is firmly anchored in the bottom of the standings and the track is not the best racing track either.

So I would assume that those things affect the spectator size to some extent together with the quite high ticket prices.

I agree about GB having Kings Lynn each year. That is not fair to other countries but they do get a big crowd. No country should be used in back to back seasons. Lets spread it around and get rid of automatic seeding to the final.

2015: Riga

On last night's form would you like to see Lavia straight into the final?

If the hosts are to bee seeded through then in terms of having the best teams in the final then only Poland and Denmark should be considered as hosts for the final.

Etihad isn't as big as the Millennium it holds 53,000 but it looks an impressive stadium.

It's primarily used for Aussie Rules, although even its 53,000 capacity is dwarfed by the nearby MCG. Not a bad choice and the capacity won't be a problem as no GP pulls anything like that.

The big question is what speedway tradition has Melbourne had in recent times, and is there sufficient latent interest in Australia as a whole to justify such a large venue?
