screm
I went to the Prague GP this season, my one and only so far, thoroughly enjoyed it to, so I`m looking at going back there. Flights out of Edinburgh are better times than this year for me, but I am going to wait till the dates and venues for the SWC are announced before booking. Some of my friends are flying out for the Torun GP this weekend, so might try a GP in Poland next year.
PHILIPRISING
So if they are having to improve drainage and relay the track in Riga it wasn't just the weather that caused the cancelled GP as BSI wanted us to believe. Thank you for confirming that! No one ever denied that had the drainage been MUCH better there would have been more chance of the meeting going ahead but as we have seen in the UK recently heavy persistent rain can always cause a meeting to be called off. Â In a way, Auckland was the 1st GP of the year, it has been replaced with Melbourne which will now be the last GP starting next year. Humphrey Appleby
THE track in Riga is being completely relaid with more drainage and new material. So the GP will be in Riga or Daugavpils?
PHILIPRISING
So the GP will be in Riga or Daugavpils? The calendar won't be confirmed until next week but I would be very surprised if it isn't Daugavpils with Riga back in the frame for 2016. krompa
I think perfect scenario would be last 2 GP's in Southern Hemisphere (Australia + NZ). Personally I would be happy to book vacations of my live there with an additional bonus to see 2 GP rounds. And for BSI logistics cost would be much lower. Is it doable within next 5 years Phil? I'd imagine the promoters had a lot of explaining to do to the City Council who presumably fronted up the staging costs. Maybe they're not so keen to be involved with another fiasco? MORE feasible if Buckley doesn't use Western Springs for various reasons. As I posted previously, he hasn't locked the door and there is the possibility of another stadium in Auckland which would fit the bill. Soulless stadium, hard to get to via public transport would be a real downgrade on western springs .that said would love to see it back here, wherever in nz it be. NOT sure of the name of the stadium.. Nearer the airport than Western Springs. Haven't been there myself but have spoken to some who have who seem to think it would be suitable if Western Springs is ruled out for whatever reason.
