Berwick V Edinburgh :continuation Of Monarchs' Losing Run: Wednesday, July 23

Recommended Posts

The weathers Gods have certainly smiled on Berwick today, the forecast heavy showers so far haven't turned up. Its been dull, misty and grey all day and but for a sprinkling of rain around lunchtime its been dry, so looks like we will get a meeting tonight.

PS I wouldn't mind a pound every time we here the word smug from the centre green this evening. :)

Currently on my my way down and it's raining pretty hard is it going to be worth travelling all the way down?

We have a heavy mist and drizzle in Berwick just now, it seems there has been rain all around Berwick today which has all missed Berwick, until now.

Twenty miles south of the track we've had thick low cloud and steady light rain for nearly an hour now and no breeze of note to blow it away. Looking at the rain radar there is a wide band of rain that seems to be slowly edging its way up the coast. Not looking too promising for speedway, but OK for a fish supper in Berwick !

Outside the stadium and its throwing it down.

Forecast now showing rain till around 7pm, then becoming drier.

I`ve been confident of seeing speedway all day, for the last couple of hours we have had steady now heaving rain, I leave now in hope rather than confidence.

Why the lack of info from the club regarding the weather ? Sent them a tweet as did others and received no reply , not everyone lives in and around Berwick some of us have to travel a fair distance to see the Bandits .Doesnt take much to send a quick reply to customers

To be fair to the club, right up till 4-30pm IMO the meeting would've been very much on, the drizzle turned to rain which then turned to heavy rain. I`m sure at 6pm when the meeting was called off there would've been little alternative.

Probably not much of a consolation to those who have to come any kind of difference but there you go.

As I look out now the rain has all but stopped.
