Berwick V Edinburgh :continuation Of Monarchs' Losing Run: Wednesday, July 23

Recommended Posts

With the weather being so lovely in Berwick today its difficult to believe the forecast for tomorrow isn't so clever, but not so clever it is. Saturday will be a warm and humid day with the threat of heavy thundery rain showers, mostly in the morning and the middle part of the day. From mid-afternoon onwards the forecast is an improving one, hopefully the damage will not have been done by then. Fingers crossed we miss most of the rain and are treated to a decent meeting.

Beware of met office forecasts. At 3pm this afternoon they said it would be 'heavy rain' at armadale at this time. Just taken my coat off because I am too hot.

Don't worry I use my own calculations, its far more accurate. ;)

Bellego will be a huge miss IMO .I think Fricke will be the key man,he has never been that good at Berwick but somehow I think he is more expierianced now.If he has a good meeting I can see an away win no problem

Nonsense, the title of this thread is "end of Monarchs unbeaten run", we have nothing to fear.

How many points we get from R/R determine whether we win this meeting or not, Wethers, Jensen, Carr and Kus are the eligible riders. I`m thinking Kus could be a busy boy IMO.

I agree we need at least 8 or 9 from rr and going by Liams rides tonight Kus may be very busy.

Not to sure about making the trip down tomorrow with the weather looking a bit dodgy.

Well after giving worky a hammering at home we should be heading down the road looking to take the lead in the tie but it will be difficult as berwick are riding well at the moment so if we do lose i won't be to shocked.

Dry in Berwick overnight and dry right now, though it is very cloudy. Thundery showers are forecast from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, then its an improving picture, so right now its all down to how many or how heavy the showers are that will determine if we get racing tonight.

Forecasts are a bit conflicting.

BBC has thunderstorms into the North Sea the rest over Cumbria.

Met Office heavy rain about 14.00 till 1600 then clearing

The other site recommended on this thread, no rain at all.

At present we have light rain

I use this weather site :

When those drongos at the Met Office were predicting heavy rain at Armadale last night they said it would stay dry, and it did.

XC says rain to stop around 4pm, so I think that fingers crossed we might be on for some racing :t:
