Berwick V Edinburgh :continuation Of Monarchs' Losing Run: Wednesday, July 23

Recommended Posts

Well, as Berwick haven't yet sent out a press release about next Saturday's match, we'll have to expect that, when they do it will accurately explain David Bellego's situation to editors, etc.

What was quoted (in my opening post on this thread) was the club's e-Newsletter, which is a service to subscribed supporters, not to media. As the rider's absence on July 19 had already been notified to these same fans by the e-Newsletter service as far back as mid-June, perhaps this item about Edinburgh's run (and the attraction of seeing it hopefully ended) can be allowed to stand up for what it clearly is -- a cheerful item, just one of several stories in the club's regular service to their followers?

Or aren't Berwick to be allowed to service their supporter-base with a bright electronic newsletter two or three times per week, without every nuance contained in these bright offerings being clinically picked apart in a search for imagined inaccuracies?

Rant over.

They have now

This was always going to be a tough match for Berwick , without some Va Va Voom it's now even harder , I'm sure Craig Cook will find things a lot more to his liking this Saturday night after his adventure in Cardifff last weekend , I'd expect Matej Kus will be a very busy man . If Berwick can manage a win I don't think it will be by enough of a margin to see us taking enough of an advantage to the second leg , however looking at the forecast on the Met Office site it could berry doubtfully if we see any racing

The forecaster that Ole Olsen relied on for GPs is currently predicting a far drier picture from 12 noon tomorrow.

Given this might be Berwick's only chance to be the first team to end the Monarchs unbeaten run (should they win at home tonight), the home Promotion should be keen to stage the match on Saturday.

With the weather being so lovely in Berwick today its difficult to believe the forecast for tomorrow isn't so clever, but not so clever it is. Saturday will be a warm and humid day with the threat of heavy thundery rain showers, mostly in the morning and the middle part of the day. From mid-afternoon onwards the forecast is an improving one, hopefully the damage will not have been done by then.

Fingers crossed we miss most of the rain and are treated to a decent meeting.
