Pirate Nick
Simmo and A N Other, could ride inside or outside and is still, I believe, the only rider to win the World Pairs 3 yrs on the trot with 3 different partners. Skodaman
Norman Storer and Ray Wilson. Norm rode the white line while Ray covered the outside. They rode as a pairing for several years even shared their testimonal! Edited July 11, 2014 by Fanmale
coventry1963
Going back a bit but Ron Mountford and Rick France at Coventry (before Ron broke his thigh badly at Newport in, I think, about 1968. They worked together, travelled together and certainly made a very good "team riding pair".

Rob Lee
Team riding seems to be a lost art. Never saw PC & Morton, but it was worth the price of admission just to see either Hamill & Hancock and Sam & Ronnie, who could pull it off every match. The best one-off team riding feat I ever saw was at Brandon sometime around 1990-ish, with a young Peter Karlsson guesting for the Bees shepherding home an even younger Andy Meredith for a 5-1 after Meredith did one of his amazing starts. The time must have been a few seconds outside the track record. Come to think of it, I've got it on video somewhere. Wonder if the old VCR still works....? 1962
Knudsen & Tatum. Many a 5-1 in heat 15 during the 87 & 88 league winning side. Â Jorgensen & Miller at 5 & 4 during the same period. Many a crucial maximum heat win & looked for each other.
packerman
As suggested earlier my mum would say Tony Lewis & ken Middleditch. She always said that they were called me & my shadow. Â You don't see it too often nowadays, having said that Darcy Ward can control the pace for a slower teammate.
Steve_R
At Trelawny. In the Premier League:- Â Majej Zager and Chris Harris. Â Zager and Steve Masters also seemed to forever bang in 5-1's too.
