Thought this would have been a lot closer than that. Appreciate Belle Vue are usually good at home, but didn't realise how good . All their riders performed well and were there to be counted.

Somewhat disappointed with Poole, expected more from them. Yeah, appreciate Darcy fall didn't help, but some of their riders had an off night. I 've always loved watching Magic and would've expected him to score more then he does. I once thought he could be a future World Champion, but he needs to up his game considerable, before he can even be considered a future contender......

Magic will always flatter to deceive & can't even see him making the GP's even anymore.

Well that was more comfortable then anyone could have imagined. Have no idea what is up with Darcy never seen a world class rider who keeps coming off as much as he does. Needs to have a chat with Mark Loram on how to pass from the back yet be safe and stay on. As Ward had a bad night the others needed to step up and they didn't. Pawlicki had a bad one but generally has had a good season so is allowed an off night. Yet again Janowski disappoints. This is a rider who a couple of years ago was on the verge if the gp but right now wouldn't even make the Polish world cop squad. Milik I thought was superb. The second reserve berth is a huge issue though. All said Poole look like they will make the play offs but they need some changes. KK for Magic? Not sure that fits

Janowski will be fine, he is definately improving on away tracks and terrific at home.

Didn't take long did it Gav?!

How on earth can KK replace Magic?? :nono:

That's not to say there won't be another change before too long!!!

It was being rumoured Sunday which was when I was told!! Nothing to be announced/confirmed until after last night's meeting.

How do you mean didnt take long? I watched the match on bet 365 and wrote what i saw. I have not slagged off the Pirates merely said Ward is falling off to much and that Magic could cost Poole. I praised Milik and said i was surprised by the margin of defeat. That is how i saw it. I also said Pawlicki had a poor meeting but has been good all season.

If your take on the meeting is different let me know.

Janowski will be fine, he is definately improving on away tracks and terrific at home.

He is good at home sometimes but is very inconsistent (last week?)

He just hasnt progressed as he should have.

2 years ago would be a cert for the world cup team but now i would have Gollob, Hampel, Kasprzak, Dudek, Kolodziej, Pawlicki(Poole), Pawlicki (Wolves), Miedzinski and possibly Zmarlik all ahead of him.

He is a cert for the world cup, can't see Gollob riding and he is better than half of those you have mentioned.

Why does Ward fall off, possibly his knee prob?

He only fell avoiding nicholls back wheel as he went into the corner to soon. Good avoiding action by ward

That is very debatable.

Brendan Johnson rides for Poole on Wednesday v Belle Vue.

I know a fellow member has already said this but Ben Hopwood really is Hopeless.

Sorry but anyone that can swing a leg across a bike and ride to any decent level is not hopeless.

He is out of his depth as a draft rider tho.

Is he? Really?

Take your Poole hat off for a second.

The only one in my list you could say maybe Dudek as i already said Zmarlik is a maybe.

Kasprzak, Hampel, are proven on the world stage.

Miedzinski is a GP winner who averaged more than Magic over here.

Pawlicki senior is proving he is the better rider

Pawlicki Junior has in my mind progressed past him.

Dudek is a world under 21 winner though it could be stated he has stalled although was included in the pairs.

Zmarlik ok you can have that one.

I just dunno I don't think our current Poole side will win it this year we will make the playoffs but I just have one of them feelings.

As for the comment regarding Ben he can ride a Speedway bike but looks down on power and is out of his depth in EL and to carry on in the EL will imo only dent the lads confidence more, Ben is trying his best he doesn't want to do this bad but I would personally like to thank him for giving it a go and all the best in the future.

Like the fast track system but there is no way a rider like Ben Hopwood should be part of it, he is a very average NL rider at best but he is not the only one currently like that racing in the EL

I would put money on it, on the big tracks the world cup will be contested on he is better than the Pawlicki's and i would say Piotr is the better Pawlicki now, so i would say the final polish team will be KK,Hampel, Miedzinski and Janowski or Dudek in place of Miedzinski like last years team. Averages over here arn't going to matter to the Polish team manager.

Last night he was trying to pass Nicholls, went into the bend too fast and nearly clipped Nicholls rear wheel, taking avoiding action crashed into air fence at quite speed
