TonyE
Doesn't seem to be much interest in this one. Pawlicki and Thorsell missing for Wolves and Davey Watt for the Hammers - Danny King, R/R and Rooboy stand in respectively. Edited for mis-spelling Edited July 4, 2014 by TonyE
Mjolnir
I was hoping we'd have Rory as a guest - obviously I'd rather have Davey as we miss him at home but that's a good guest booking for us! It's nice to see that Lawson is the stand-in captain again, well deserved. I'm looking forward to this one. I wonder if the track shop will finally have the new 2014 stock in? Haha
cityrebel
They had 2014 badges in stock at the last home meeting. A snip at £8 each!!!

Ah ok, thanks - I finally stopped checking a few weeks ago once they said they wouldn't be in until July!

T.N.T.
Would have liked to have gone with Scott Nicholls as a guest for Pawlicki or Richie Worrall as a guest for Thorssell and R/R for Pawlicki giving Tai an extra ride. Can only see a confortable 52-40 victory for Lakeside and another step further back from the play offs for Wolves.

E I Addio
Rory will give his all and for that reason is always a popular guest at Lakeside but the plain fact is he is not equal to Dave Watt on Davey's current form. Wolves capable of springing a surprise unless Lakeside find some consitency. Wolves are not really Wolves without Fast Freddie though. Fred always had great presence at Lakeside and was always one of the most popular visitors with the Lakeside crowd and it won't seem the same without him. I always enjoy it when Wolves are in town though, one of my favourite visiting clubs.
superguest
It will be interesting to see if King impresses, maybe with a view to a more permanent signing? Easy victory for Lakeside given no real backup behind Tai on current form! Edited July 4, 2014 by superguest
Lefty
Travelling from Wolves for this one. Is there a real ale pub near the track that can be recommended, providing the M25 has been in a good mood! Thanks, Lefty
stevebrum
Should be a routine home win. Gone are the days when we could turn up and thump the Hammers on home shale. 50-
Shale Searcher
Lakeside will be OK with the weather this evening as well, won't arrive until around 23:00/Midnight....
SteveLyric2
It'll be interesting to see if the attendance is affected by the footie World Cup etc?! Clearly, with all the M25 issues on a Friday, it would be impractical to bring forward the start time, as Eastie did on Monday, to avoid any overlap on times!! guesty1992
Tom Perry is hoping for another good night when he and the Wolverhampton Wolves travel to the Lakeside Hammers later tonight. Agreed - although he wasn't always all that complimentary about our track! As you say though, it's always good when Wolves are in town. I often back them or Eastbourne after Lakeside.

Yeah, Lindgren, Karlsson, Woffinden and Proctor at reserve banging in 13 points. We don't want to see that strength team back in a hurry thank you very much ! ! ! Falcon Hammer
Will be great to see the World Champ around Arena again. Pity Piotr Pawlicki is not riding tonight, he was great entertainment last time: good to see Danny King getting an EL outing tho, with Brum in limbo Should be max Pts tonight. C'mon you Hammers Edited July 4, 2014 by Falcon Hammer
marko
They might need to push the meeting through as rain is forecast to arrive this evening as early as 9pm according to the BBC, bet365 certainly choose the right meeting of the two as the Coventry one is more likely to be hit earlier with rain. Shame another meeting is overshadowed with guests and rider replacement although from a Lakeside point of view it does not hurt them, Rory is bang on form right now and his lightning starts will be crucial on a track likely to be pretty dry unless this cloud cover arrives soon and gives Gerald a chance to get some water down without it being instantly burnt off by the hot sunshine. Bryn
I'm at the stadium where trackman Gerald has been running a shuttle service with his tractor & water tank to and from the filling up point to the track ever since we got here at 3pm. It's clear blue sky and, as I seem to remember some group singing years ago, it's HOT HOT HOT! It's now 5.25pm. And I'd suggest the Met Office radar map (updated at 5.15pm when I looked) indicates that the rain band, that is diminishing in strength anyway, is highly unlikely to reach here before 11pm to midnight. There goes trackman Gerald heading for the track with another tanker load of water! Edited July 4, 2014 by Bryn
