Lord Lucan
Never expected that, not at all judging by our usual performances at Rye!! About as comprehensive a win as we could have hoped for, just about excellent all round, apart from Lambert, whom didn't disappoint the locals and scored poorly after a top start, why he was left in Ht14 is a mystery to me when Lykke Nielsen was doing the biz, and why no Rene in 15?? Very handy 4pts away win but poor in the last two races gave the scoreline a flattering look that Rye didn't deserve judging by the updates and post match comments, happy with the win but Comets should learn to keep kicking the opposition for the full 15hts, it looks better in the points diff!!! Almost two weeks before our next PL meeting now so, lets hope we can keep this going when we get started again!!
Glenn
Silver isn't getting any younger so is he really going to see out his time as a promoter with A team that is now so weak the paying public will not support it. His 'my way or the highway' stubborn attitude is now turning me off from going as paying to see home riders Out of their depth is too embarrassing. . Come clean Len Silver and tell us why you are destroying a great club??

scaramanga
you would be happy with a win at home by that margin but to do it on a away track is just briliant well done to all the riders in the comets team all played there part only workington riders not to win a heat were mason and guest kasper but they both got 3 paid wins each

Shadders
If I was to say what I'm thinking i'd be banned by the moderators. Anyone who read my Twitter updates will get the general feeling that I'm not a happy chappie tonight. Thank The Lord we had a new team captain to inspire the side, otherwise it could've been a lot worse Edited July 5, 2014 by Shadders

Bandits4eva
Thank The Lord we had a new team captain to inspire the side, otherwise it could've been a lot worse .... Yeah, truly inspiring his team mates! Truly felt for Rye fans.. Only Bunny and Jason G can take much from tonight! Even getting my hopes up we could take a point from Rye at the minute! westhamboy66
Dump the the lot of them, no one rider can escape criticism tonight apart from our Guest who was out of his depth. No excuses whether its lack of quality, poor form, rubbish equipment no excuse is valid. As for the idiot Team Manager why give Garrity a TR in his race following his engine blow up, was anyone surprised to him grind to a halt again.

Guest
And why does grass tracking come before speedway..... Always?? Because the meeting is an FIM sanctioned international event.
Old Crusader
There was a time I never missed a meeting both PL and CL but travelling 1.5hrs each way is starting to grind on me now with the current promotion. Ive been harping on for a few years that things need to change, Team, Presentation, Food and Drink etc but to no avail and as Len said if you dont like it dont come well I may just stop going altogether! Old Crusader
Interesting comment about Len. When did he say this? For a business man that is suicide. The reason I'm interested is that although he's the co-promter at Kent he seems to be calling all the shots! We seem to be heading the same way! But as he said he's the oldest speedway promoter in the WORLD.

watford phil
Cant wait to read the match report on the Rye House website tomorrow telling us how unlucky we were with mechanical problems blah, blah, blah ignoring the fact that four of our team were a disgrace.

The reason I'm interested is that although he's the co-promter at Kent he seems to be calling all the shots! We seem to be heading the same way! But as he said he's the oldest speedway promoter in the WORLD.It was when we had Jason Doyle as a temporary signing for a while while Steve Boxall was injured a couple of years ago. When Steve was fit to return Doyles services were dispensed with, despite him top scoring just about everywhere. Most of us expected him to be retained and a few voiced their disaproval during the pre meeting coin toss. This is when Silver had his rant. Silver went on to explain that rules stated that Doyle had to go, but I later learned that Doyle had been assured a couple of weeks earlier that he was in for the season
